Diplomatically this is a LOT more clear cut than Afghanistan... the government has broken the Geneva convention for christ's sake.
and I can definitely see boots on the ground being debated heavily. Especially with how our presence throughout the middle east has been, its definitely not an easy sell. All we've really heard was 'military action', the only specific part was cruise missile strikes. At the same time, its clear we couldn't overthrow Assad without actual military presence. And while we're already attempting to fund, equipt and train rebels we really haven't been doing it too efficently. What I see happening is more of a coordinated effort to aid the rebels indirectly, knowing full-blown military action could end terribly. |

that could lean the UN into it, but with no one being hurt, no motive, and the UN in a stalemate I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
the sniper attack hasnt been attributed to anyone and if the UN DOES act it won't act on anything but significant evidence |

I dunno if it is definitely the right thing to do, but something has to be done. Admittedly the pictures of dead kids on the news has swayed me emotionally, which is why i would make a horrible politician, but i think some things are more important than politics.

but its all money it looks like it costs money to go to war, but politicians and shit have vested interests in companies that profit from war, so off bat thats a reason to go in, and control of a region is $$$ syria is in russias pocket but if we fund/participate and help a rebellion the next regime can be in ours and we get the benefits of whatever they control even if its just a safe place to wage war from onto neighboring countries its all schemes and shit at the end of the day for $$$$ |

its ALL money
ww1 and 2 boosted our economy no doubt, but they had such a giant effect because those wars were so big. the whole country was in the war effort now its companies and corporations that have the politicians and lobbyists in there pockets. these same companies rebuild the areas we destroy and get paid to do so, these same companies build the munitions we pay for and shoot etc, so they are profiting, and on top of that the control of a region is MAJOR profits no matter how small it is. you got a sovereign nation basically paying tribute to you i mean look in afghanistan, we got troops guarding the poppy fields, we're getting the opium from the source for pharmeceutical companies $$$$, afghanistan supplies like 90 percent of the worlds heroin, cia has been known to sell drugs to raise funds, russia has a giant heroin problem, we're supplying the heroin contributing to the degredation of there whole infrastructure from the bottom up. meanwhile once in syria its like oh watsup you palestinians we here with israel cuz we love the jews next thing you know reptilians are flying out of CITADELS like dragons eating kids and pulling off the veil in the introduction to the NWO !!! |

what im reading tho is the rebels and shit are al qaeda? does that make sense? so we'd essentially be teaming up with who we've been fighting to overthrow syria
hmmm i dont get any of this shit. i just throw my logic at it like a net with a big hole in the middle trying to grasp any shred of understanding and come up with nothing. |
