You're looking at things from a financial perspective, and I'm looking at things from a creative side. I know a lot of people like 50, and swear he was amazing before he signed to Interscope. I admit, he made hit songs that made money, but as far as being dope? I strongly disagree, not just because of content and style, but because he's basic. I see making money in the music industry as a skill, just not high on my personal view of what I'd like to listen to. Jay Z is out to make money, and so are most rappers, but that doesn't mean I'm going to judge their product on a curve just because they're making music for the masses. 50 Cent's style, and the one Em' used during and after The Eminem Show were a departure from the style that everyone wishes he'd use now.
