can I pose a question for all of you...

isn't this the inevitable result of trying to entertain another generation?

I honestly believe that what EM is going through right now...PAC and Biggie would of went through the same shit.

ohh he fell off hes not the same hes not spitting that raw shit anymore.
but isn't that caused by the audience that is listening to the music...when pac and biggie was coming up the world was different. more close minded and stuck in its ways...tradition if you will...hiphop was fresh and young..it was raw...and so the music reflected the culture..some would say it was more pure...basically because it wasn't world wide...it wasn't everywhere...so rappers new their audience and what they wanted..and since hip hop was coming from a place of despair and poverty...lost hope and violence that's what rappers talked about...that kind of stuff sticks with you longer than some party anthem because lets face it...most of us can relate to violence and poverty, despair and lost hope...weve all been through that...

but now its not like that anymore...times have changed, people have changed..no ones wants to here about your drug stories and how bad you had it any more...no ones interesd in hearing about how you came from nothing countless love ones you've lost...no one wants to hear how many pounds you moved and no one cares how complex you word that...

the fact is music has changed...so many people can make music now...hiphop doesn't just come from the slums and ghettos anymore..it comes from all over the world now...no longer do you have to be poor black and disenfranchised to love hip hop anymore...the rich kids love hiphop..the white suburban kids love hiphop...and all those people come from different influences..which intern determine the type of music they listen to..along with every thing else..morals, values all that.

back to em.

I think em is trying to find a place in this new era...this era where music doesn't have to say anything at all for it to make you feel something. while stil maintaining the basics that got him to where hes at. lol jesus the man is 40 and can still out rap pretty much anyone...dude just dropped 2 albums back to back that went platinum..launched a super group. took over the charts as soon as he came back and hes falling off?

what you call falling off I call adapting...hes adapting to his surroundings...

rant over.
