I love them both, Simpson's was the original...and the humor is cleaner and more toned down but just as clever. oh and since you brought childrens cartoons into this, I can say that early spongbob is amazing, like up to 08 or so. But Cartoon Networks lineup is the best cartoon lineup to ever be ever imo

You can't use a character like Cleveland as the main protagonist.

It's just too much for what his role should consist of.

Exactly, they needed to change him, which is why I dont understand why they didnt just make a show with entirely new characters, and keep cleveland in family guy. Or just use a differnt character from FG, a stronger one, and keep them as they are.

Um, I don't know about all that but one time he was shouting and he sat down, and then he jumped up and said 'ah! sat on my nuts' and I thought that was pretty great. I have not missed an episode since. I honestly don't even think of him as Cleveland from Family Guy anymore, the Cleveland Show is like a completely separate entity to me now.

the Cleveland Show is FG with worse voice acting

American Dad wants to be Family Guy but barely breaks into the category of comedy with that lame piece of shit Roger

Simpsons was amazing for a long time and now is overshadowed by every show on at primetime. Its too familiar to feel fresh

South Park is really funny and always on point with its satire but also tries too hard

King of the Hill is hilarious and would be less weird with live actors

Futurama is the really weird dude st school everyone is trying to ignore but is actually pretty funny once you get to know him and eventually becomes considered normal with weird moments

South Park is probably the bet cartoon to ever be on TV. Better than all the other show mentioned in this thread, by far.
But back to the OP, family guy only had about 4 good seasons.
The rest were rubbish.
However the Simpsons had consistently good season, up until their movie. After that they went to shit.
But if say those few good family guy seasons are better than the good Simpsons seasons.
Also, American dad is funny as fuck and Cleveland show is unbearably awful.
