I've actually decided that I don't think poetry battles should count for the overall site record here. I respect poetry and I respect the association/league, but it feels counterproductive to attach site records to it. There are league records, which is enough, IMO. I'd rather not convolute existing and future records with "wins and losses" for participating in a poetry competition. your call bro. I respect your opinion either way, though my 2 cents (from a purely battle perspective) is that if there is a certain amount of effort put into it (which for me is 8 lines+) then it should count. But considering poetry is much more subjective and not competitive by nature, I feel you. Especially if you think attaching the record to it is keeping people from competing.

But I gotta think about how the champ matches come to happen when there's no records. Just something to consider.
