There are more black ppl in jail today than were enslaved in 1850

would you of rather of been left in africa? do you think black people would be as influential on pop culture as they are atm? slavery although inherently wrong has forwarded the progression of black people. look at the state Africa is in still, imagine what it would be like without other countries going in and introducing western culture and technology.

IMO, gangs are an extension of the tribal wars still going on in parts of Africa. it's not a reaction to being down trodden in American society.
