8 Mile was in no way an increase in his popularity with people who listen to rap - it increased his popularity with middle aged people perhaps and parents who had spent years thinking he was some vermin damaging there childrens ears probably relaxed a little...
I personally thought 8 mile was aight, wasnt great but it was aight. I mean if you ever actually watched eminems battles when he was a young up and commer, they are alot better then anything in that movie, but I did like the extras to the film and the idea behind it. If it wasnt for 8 mile we would probably have less people interested in battling, an what fun is that, a hobby shared by an elitest group who without new tastes and flavors would eventually stand still in elevation. I know after watching that film the first thing I did was start freestyling again which I hadnt done in a while. Don't know why the hate on Eminem is so popular these days. Also how can anyone say Recovery wasnt a sick album?!?! I loved slim shady and marshall mathers lp's I liked eminem show Hated everything else Until recovery...and even eminem wont listen to his shit post eminem show. He was strung out on drugs.. I am sure most of us have wrote some shit when we fucked... Anyways the new Eminem I think is a beast, hes been killing it since Recovery and he is going to be different to who he was, his first album was in the 90s he has been a forfront figure in rap since like 1999, thats 3 decades. (dont be a clever dick you know what i mean) hes going to have matured and changed. Fuck it thats my 2 cents on the matter |
