So cypher battles

If B2B doesn't die votes would indicate that myself and namix will be advanced into the L4L finals

and while I'm somewhat happy with that, I'm also well aware I'm going to end up getting destroyed

But I'd like to put out a respectable showing for a fluke competitor lol. I tried to flip lines while I could, but it kind of boiled down to me saying namix is old and chyeah is making bad attempts.

so @namix... any tips/things to work on/things to think about?

in general i thought you held your own bro - i thought you were clearly #2, even if i sound bias with #1 i think you know me well enough to know im not tryna be -- and there were some decent heads, comp wasn't as stiff as other weeks, but still - i thought you had a solid showing.

I think your self-evaluation is already dead-on bro, just don't beat a dead horse deader.... you had some fresh concepts and even fresh flips of older concepts, i even thought 'my age punches are getting as old as, well, he is' was funny. that's always a good tip too - use your own weaknesses to flip back on your opponent

it's because of that philosophy that you were the recipient of my favorite cypher i probably ever wrote

bashing it so bad I rip the fabric of time ‘n half of it flies back to my prime!!
and I’ll keep smashing this guy until somebody finds his wackness device!
or until he gets a NEW AGE CONCEPT that makes a catholic think twice!!

I "owned" what i was being dissed for, and flipped it to kicking your ass so bad i rip the fabric of time and half of your ass flies back to my prime (still making fun of me) --- and then the "until you get a new age concept" made fun of exactly what you pointed out (that you went at me saying im old a lot)...

taking that approach is always useful against vets, if you have a clear weakness, or they have a clear one that gets played out a lot --- put that kind of spin on it, it makes anything sound fresher -- really like your simple rendition of "my age punches are getting as old as he is", its a spin that can breathe some life into older concepts.

again though, i thought you did well in that cypher though bro. you kept me revisiting it at least. until i went *bang bang* with my last post :cool:

Appreciate it, it's just occurring to me I'm basically asking how to beat you lol. If it helps I don't expect to win, I just wanted to ask for general tips since i could feel my stuff getting stale as it happened.I'll definitely try to keep that in mind, thanks!

lol - hey man, that kind of self-awareness is one of the core attributes of good writers.

i'm no cypher master though bro, and anyone can win any given sunday, which is why i'll drop sometime between Mon-Sat :cool:
