''Waking Dreams In Walking Stages''

Standing on the edge of a cliff with the sun in his eyes
a pack of wolves chased Talco through the mountains
he had to run for his life
running out of breath through the mud and the vines
running out of space either he jumps or he dies
he picks up a crutch and swung it a couple of times edging forward
circling wolves snarling hunched over with yellow gunk in there eyes
Talco was born a warrior since birth he survived tumultuous times
Talco swung the crutch violently until his arms felt like fire inside
striking the alpha wolf on the skull as it took a ferocious bite
it started squealing like a baby when your not holding them right
shaking in fear as it's skull got spiked Talco screamed to the pack run for you life!
the wolf pack huddled back frozen in fright
the alpha wolf whimpers as it limped away with it's tail rolled in it's thighs.

Talco was a warrior but no killer inside a crippled architect who draws on the
feelings that rise a teenage gamer keeping the kills in his mind
he built a island all for himself with it's own hills he could climb
an island filled with creatures of the most mysterious kind.

Talco frequently floats with the angler fish they had human heads
attached to there spines cosmic dust falls on pomegranate trees three miles high
a 4 headed dwarf sweating from the heat riding on the back of a deer
peels a tangerine while sipping his chrysanthemum beer
rabbits with torso's of dogs hop out hollowed holes where the mole octopus hide
the angler fish lived under the ocean and sang to the black dolphins that swam with the tides
these dolphins from above looked like the shadows of angels
for all the lost fishes to find.

Talco dreamed of girls in the ocean made from the scars and cuts on his sides
operations incomplete shitty surgeons left his legs mush for the time
the girls lived in the swamps - in huts they would hide
completely naked nothing to cover there prize , uncover your eyes
her skin glowed radon emerald curves are divine , the woman scurried around cauldrons
currying giblets of swine in vinegar pints
coconut oil on there breast made jesuits repent to the vision of christ
the scent from the clay mounds smells like licorice thyme
the clay from which the huts are made smell like lemon meringue pie
it reminds Talco of that same one he get's from 7-11 for a dollar ninety five
there beauty was deepened by the chia pet like moss growing behind there thighs.

Talco was living in a world of images none could define
the blurr between reality and fantasy would cause others to bug and resign
he never sleeps in bed he reclines in the corner and hums in his mind
every dawn at the lake Talco sits on his bed and watches the suns when they rise
bats the size of vultures flying over thunderous skies sting ray headed foxes
float in circumference near the prairie dogs cave the scent of canary grass
releases a earthy taste soil wilting under its weight florescent soil forever faint
amphibious bugs crawl from the sea foam just to eat sea turtle eggs.

Suddenly he hears his door open... Talco wake up it's late!!
'' He's was dreaming again'' Talco says 'thanks grand pa' I forgot schools today
can you get my crutches they are leaning near the vase
Talco needs to find his candle it's a tremulous task
to rush to the bathroom to bathe quickly and wipe the shit off his ass
he has polio the alley way cats love to crawl under his legs
everyday when he takes out the trash
his grandfather jerry would sit him in front of the stoop on the sunniest days
and say sunny just be happy even if you throw your money away make it last
Talco had a sense of humor calling himself gumby with legs
a wheel chair strapped to his heart but his smile was never bent out of shape
in our world his dreams are steel beams screws and crutches for faith.

Talcos done getting dressed and brushing his teeth
He still wishes he could wiggle his feet in his wheelchair still present
but hovering over a different street in a world not his own
same rhythms just a different beat
the black cat in the alleyway follows him from a fence keeping its distance
it's vision intense always keeping a eye on Talco amidst his expense rolling his wheels
thinking nothing of it smiling at passengers waiting for the buses
busy people living boring lives to appease the public
Talco crossed the intersection near the junction as something caught his eyes
unbeknownst to Talco the black cat followed close behind in the laurel bushes
Talco wheeled into this parking lot full of greenery the scene was luscious.

It reminded him of his dream he leaned closer and tried to touch it
instantly he was consumed by tree limbs that reached out in clutches

Talco screamed grabbing the side of his seat instinctively for his crutches
before he could reach the bottom of the stairs his ears start buzzing
with no where to go
he wheeled his chair slowly into the rose thorn brushes
and to his amazement brooklyn suddenly became a world it wasn't.

Foggy mountains appeared in a distant haze
3 moons rotating in the night sky clouds the color of pigeons legs
burnt hues veer through the skylines Talco wiped the dirt off his face
noticing his braces by his side not attached to his legs
Talco adjusted his glasses and the black cat appeared near his waist
he thought about screaming for help but he stood up thinking wow
what a ride with out struggle pulling out a book of matches
he lights a candle in the dark to see what this jungle hides
crawling through the wooded leafs Talco is tied into rooted dreams
suddenly he feels his legs for once a feeling that wouldn't leave
he makes out a cabin in the distance could it be?
exalted he starts standing straight on gilded knees
he starts sprinting toward the cabin he could feel the breeze
if this is real as it gets then he still believes.

Suddenly he sees the naked woman cooking in his dreams
chanting in a prayer circle dancing near a pyre a figure shaped like grandpa jerry
was disappearing in a fire what a odd scene it took him by surprise look what he desired
as he got closer a french braided stallion appeared
it had ropes of gold around it's neck and ruby medallions on it's ears
sprinting up the trail Talco felt like he can run for years
he hopped on its back and rode the horse down the grass
vultures over head with the heads of bats laughed like hyenas laying in bed with rats
field mice with ears the size of pears tiny children digging in trash even Talcos
world had its differences nothing will forever last.

He looked at his wheel chair and laughed jumping doing flips and flares
i wouldn't go back to my old life for a million years
then he thought about grandpa Jerry and that was something he couldn't bare
a life of dreams are easy for one who shouldn't care
going back to his only family who struggles for all those years
to put him in his chair only to spare kingship on his island bed
standing straight yet falling down the spiral stairs.

Talco screamed take me back the scream pierced his ears
suddenly he shot back through the roses in a bushwick garden near a sears
joy filled his heart his eyes full of tears in the parking lot disoriented he awoke
falling over in his crooked chair the black cat licking his nose a seizure or a scare
I supposed walking in dreams requires skills to share but Talco rather limp for a day then live 1 hour in 7 million years....
