my first post shows how a single comma can change the meaning of an ostensibly identical phrase considerably, albeit with two homonyms, but still. to say one is worthless and the other vital doesn't work when they co-exist. ultimately we all
write here, so however much we think our pengame relates to the aural, we're initially reading (not hearing).
punctuation can be used to do some clever shit. punctuation can also be misused to do some clever shit (word to whoever posted e.e. cummings). but here, on this forum, i think punctuation/grammar matter only as much as each individual (writing or critiquing) wants it to: it's their right - fuck prescribing to another's values.
