Maybe you're right. I think the best pop song on the record is "Ya Hey." But "Diane Young" was the lead single, so Vampire Weekend agrees with you. I also don't like much of their previous work. Definitely part of my dislike "Diane Young" is that it's so like old Vampire Weekend. I probably don't cut them a fair amount of slack on this. If 1990s Weezer had made an almost identical song, I'd probably be all about it.
