When you die how’d you like to go..
 

I don’t mean how you die... but burial. I’m one of 4 brothers...my older brother was killed in 06... he was creamated shortlu after and we had a small get together in a park.

My younger brother died in 2008, he was 18... he was creamated quickly after. It took my family a good 6 months maybe longer to recover.. and my mom rented out this like.. town hall and it had woods and shelters next to it, got like hundreds of fliers printed up from like kinkos or whatever, got all of his old friend addresses and neighbors and sent them invitations... and I can’t remember for sure could’ve been more like 8-10 months after that’s how long it took us to process it.

A good 200 people showed up, I told my mom would speak way before I thought it’d ever happen... there was like a mic and a podium and shit and like I version he else I don’t like public speaking, especially about shot like the but I did. I said would and I don’t back out.

I said whatever I said... waited for the end of it and left for home.

Yeah and the guy that was the MC of the whole thing was an ordained minister that my mom used to work with and he said I don’t know if I should do this like over a half of a year since since it happened.. kind of like bringing up ole whit but it took our family that long to come o grips with what just happened

I don’t care how I go... although honestly I’d rather be burned.. just because the few funerals I’ve been to that were open casket were creepy as fuck.

Personally I don’t need to see the physical embodiment of a dead person to know they’re gone. Some people may need that...but not me it just creeps me out.

So I told my dad I’d give him an old Viking burial... and he was all for that.. or do like some of the Indians did, put him on a raft light him on fire and float it down the river.

The Viking thing is the same thing but with a flaming arrow shoot the floating raft with gas on it... not sure I have that skill set

Burial I’ll be creamated I’m sure. Brothers were creamated I’m sure I will be and my parents probably will be to.

With my brothers it had to do with money and their deaths being totally unexpected. Although my family isn’t religious or anything so even if things had been set up probably would’ve been creamated. My wife and her family aren’t religious per se bit they’re all about being buried etc. I personally could care less.

This was kind of a dumb thread on my part though, obviously everyone would like to go in their sleep with minimal pain. Not how it works many times though.
