Due Dates:

• Verses are due TUESDAY,
  July 22nd 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Check Ins are due MONDAY, July 21st 2014
• Voting ends Saturday July 26th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours
• You will be GRANTED ONE EXTENSION throughout the Tourney. Any extension beyond the first will result in loss of votes.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• Limit MUST be agreed upon

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will be disqualified.
• A check in IS mandatory.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

Bags: the Dion line I don't get the reference but the wording made that line harsh, complex structures could've been nice with a more relevant set up, face the tide was dope good imagery very creative, top turnbuckle in itself is a very dope concept could've been a haymaker with a better premise don't be surprised if people steal that, final bar was cool decent concept with the trip acid but again connection wasn't as hard as it would be if I was wording it. You redeemed yourself here.


Swerve: gravitational pull was coolish, shaggy was coolish humor punch, try force lol, curtains line is aight but by this point the humorish approach is getting repetitive, lol'ed at "I'm actually in cuba". No you're not if you would've left actually it be less corny, nik straddle line was aight.. Nice verse


This was a great battle.... Very close for entertainment value Bags edges, it was fresher whereas with Swerve it was kinda been there for me. Both pretty consistent with Swerve slightly edging. Bags had creativity,

I think Swerved just edged this out. I think Changing Tide was LOTB, but Swerve came more consistent to me. This could go either way though. Good battle.

I didn't like your opner, just fell flat for me. Saints Patrick, I feel could have been executed different and better but instead you took the lazy route w/ a simile which killed it, IMO. Acid be gone had potential but like the Saint Patty PUN, I feel you got lazy w/ it.

I've seen the Shaggy/Scooby References done a lot and even tho, you tied it in with his beard, I still feel it was corny. Den w/ Destroyer had potnetial but the execution was lazy and kind of fell flat for me.

OVERALL: Pretty solid battle here, I think if Bags would have worked on his misses just a little more, he could have taken this battle pretty comfortably, because the concepts were there but the executions were just lazy and fell flat. Swerves misses weren't that bad but the Shaggy PUN was corny/played and the Den had potential but was lazy on the execution. So with that being said...

this came down to a better overall haymaker & Bags had that section 8 line which was fireeeeeeeeeeeeee. Swerve did his thing to just was a little stretched, that pillows & curtains was rofl.

Bags: You had a lot of good things going on with this verse. The only miss was the Saints line, and everything was personal and worded really well. Also, your rhymes were strong, though a few carryover rhymes could have helped. Nothing was so creative it knocked me off my feet, but they were all solid blows. My favorite was the half moon line. It seemed like you had a couple more lines in you with the momentum you built up, which is the problem with 10-line battles. I was impressed.

Swerve: I had some issues with your opening two lines. First, velocity isn't a point of speed, it's another word for speed. And second, Bags has talked quite a bit about how he had to shave his beard for work since coming back. The Triforce line was really good, though, arguably the best of the battle. (I have absolutely no idea if that's been done, but I'm going on the impression that it hasn't.) I really liked the closer, too. You might have had the two best lines of the battle, and this was a good battle. But you weren't consistent enough.

I'm not allowed to vote for Bags so I figured I would write up a draw vote and just vote for him next round. Consider this more of a feed than a judgment. Bags had the lotb with the half-moon line. It had the impact MS' 1492 line had. His top turnbuckle line was great, too. Along with the rest of his verse ( I had to omit portions so as to not look biased, which I'm obviously not). Swerves personals involving me and Des were funny. I liked them alot. The Try-Force line was my favorite from Swerve with an honorable mention for the Tag Team battle line.
