Lingering smells amidst tingling bells
Pals get together and mingle in hell
While the fire torches their dire corpses
The serpent has tied and warped it
Toasting to life, in the arteries of death
Out of breath, their smarter days have left
Laid a path, soft to the touch, made of meth
Leading to the barn, where the cradle rests
Check the heart rate, baby boy’s in pain
Heart ache, a shard flaked in his moistened brain
The glass shatters, battered, it doesn’t matter
Standards? Here they are in tatters
The glass gleams, and winks at the mass screams
This is what happens when he who’s mad dreams
Stabbed in the head, as he lay strapped in his bed
Couldn’t you just have slapped him instead?
A little tap on the wrist, but you had to insist
That your destiny would unravel like this
Related to a killer, too young to be dangerous
he lies still, while his 4-wheeled manger rusts

Holding on to his final gasp, quite a task
Mommy, not quite her best, puts on a lively mask
An untimely mess, 8 months pregnant, big as fuck!
Can barely walk, but got to her son to pick him up
Rang the ambulance, her baby demanding abstinence
No time to give in, as the present starts passing tense
Her life flashes, as she inhales the night’s ashes
Fascist feuds, crash in view, while she’s tailed by blind sashes
Jamming her vision, as memories cram an incision
In to her soul, like a mad man on a mission
Sex, drugs, rock n roll…who’s next judge? Stop n go
Going up to the sky in ecstasy…but dropping slow
This is how the pills work, memories still hurt
As she tries, not to remember the still birth
Seeing her child’s face, smothered by pain
It’s something insane…we call it the motherly game
Regaining her strength, forgetting the past, it can stay dark
Because now, it’s nothing more than a blip on a radar
The fire has died down, the sirens ring in the distance
For once in existence, someone’s bringing assistance
In an instant, she knows her baby’s in safe hands
So she disappears off to a grey land

Her husband is burning, in an oven of yearning
A thirst never quenched, but fuck the concerning
Climbing down the greasy walls, of the eternal inferno
Her surroundings becoming a blur as she burrows
Through the blood and guts of killers and thieves
In to a hall way held up by pillars of grief
She walks along the bones, skulls crack under her feet
As she senses the great presence of a monster, asleep
She rockets through the molding door, to unholy floor
And sees her husband, lying there, broke and sore
‘you ruined my life…is there a reason you cock face?
Or just another excuse…you know? Wrong time, wrong place?’
He looks up, a smile breaks on his face, painless
‘Because changes make the world…..
….so the world can make changes
With parents like us, he would have went fucking insane
So, I thought I’d give him a head start in this game’

And the fire rises.
