Not only Wentz bro. There defense is on point. AND their receivers are fucking killing it - without them sacrificing their bodies to make 80% of those catches - Wentz wouldn't be doing shit.

Offensive lines are important to passers/quarterbacks, tail/running backs, wideouts/wide recievers, fullbacks, tight ends, and coaches. Without an offensive line none of them would be able to play that good.

Pretty much this. That Ajayi run was 40 yards untouched.

How does the O-Line affect wide receivers?

Please elaborate because that doesn't make any sense.

O Line mostly protects QB and opens holes for TB's and RB's (Including the FB)

But what are they doing for the receiver?

A receiver runs routes... There aren't O-Linemen in front of them after the route is ran and they receive the ball...

A TE is basically the Oline's END who's primary job is to block then run short posts, curls or flats.

O Line has no impact on the receivers, sorry buddy.

Have you ever played football?

Ultimately they are all a major factor to the success of a team, yes.

But I was mostly targeting the importance of the O-LINE and their jobs.

And their job has nothing to do with receivers and mostly to do with protecting the QB by not allowing the DLine and MLB's and short ILB's inside of the back field.

Lead blockers jobs are to protect against weak side blitzes and what not or assist with opening trap holes in the A,B,C gaps which are know as the 2,4,6 - sweep 8 on the right side and the 1,3,5, sweep 7 on the left side.

The O-Line helps out by giving the WR ample time to run effective routes for the QB to connect with.

Thats protecting the QB, no? As I've been saying all along lol...

Aside from protecting the QB - which gives him TIME - I guess they help receivers but ultimately receivers have to run their routes and shake the defense secondary with speed, wit and talent - TOO MUCH TIME gives the defense the advantage in most cases - which is why you tend to see a snap and less then 5 seconds pass thrown... TO keep the safeties on their toes.

nonsense

the ball comes out quick to avoid the pass rush. secondaries break down with time, receivers can break off routes and etc.

but word the ball comes out quick because its designed too, you coach don't you? you should know these things.

Yes, I do coach.

And general rule of thumb for my line men is 3 seconds. Hold the line for a minimum of 3 seconds. We shoot for 7.

But at least 3 on the rush plays. Gives the QB time to get the snap off and hand it off to either my 2, 3, or 4 back.

Without an offensive line wide recievers wouldn't be able to effectively run their routes. Routes are directions that a wide reciever runs. If a quarterback doesn't have the time to allow wide recievers to run in different directions, the wide reciever would therefore be ineffective. A wide reciever needs an offensive line.

i guess it could be different with youth football though, as far as the qb's getting time. play designs ain't crazy, and it ain't like qb's are looking off receivers and baiting safeties lol. but word in professional football the more time a qb has the better, because the secondary has a better chance of failing, be it man/zone whatever.

its alot of why a great pass rush can prop up a mediocre secondary, and vice versa, a great secondary helps the pass rush. but yea in youth football i guess with time a qb could stare his receiver(s) down and they could get picked easier with their goofy lobs

coaching o-line in youth football has to be the most difficult task. i was fb/LB all through midget, but in middle school i played TE for the 8th grade squad (while in 7th) and on the 7th grade team they had me at G. o-line was the fucking worst. also our teams were terrible though so it didn't help. but word, back then we were coached to basically keep hands inside and try and get under their shoulder pads and drive em into em which worked great in theory, but i was wack, and didn't want to play o-line in the first place. we just had no size on our 7th grade squad, and i've basically been the same size since 9th grade lol.

but word once i was actually in the 8th grade i was too busy getting high and fingering ho's like a young gentlemen to play anymore.

but the 3 years in midget and one year in middle school was the best times probably. used to just BODY people

long story short, most kids don't want to play o-line in the first place, so they ain't going to really want to learn. there has to be a way to get them into it but yea i dont know. d-line was dope cuz your getting after people, but o-line always felt like a chore
