If Aaliyah came along five years later and never died the internet would say she's a man, she'd release 2-4 more albums to no noise. Or, she'd go into major label hell, escape 5 years later to release some regular Aaliyah album that'd get praised as the 10/10 album of the decade due to her circumstance. It's sad she died, as it's sad any human dies. But her narrative is pretty easy to fill out. At least she released this song and video, which goes hard in perpetuity, forever and ever. Also, awesome topic.

@Dancake, i did research and that sound in Are You That Somebody that sounds like a baby is actually her from a home video. they sampled it and put it in the song. i found that really cool
and yeah, it goes hard. @Junto, youtube is bringing me to songs i totally forgot about.
