I've got a question about Xbox one S/X and...
So, short preface... my dads 71... birthday november, christmas is christmas. I bought him a a new laptop and then a new Tv... about $1800 or so combined. So he wants to get me something substantial this year for my birthday which is in a few days.
Ok for the new Xbox S... can't use CD games... fuck that. Can't find the new Xbox X series period... its easier to find the S series to buy, but again... I don't want a system that you can't have physical game CD's on. What I play, and I actually do play it is the 360. But I'm ready for some new stuff so I can play online etc so I said get me an Xbox One ( know they don't make the original Xbox one anymore) so get a one S or a one X. Well he said yo I looked all around for it (online) and can't find shit basically. I figured, well he's on top of it for 71... but I can find it no problem he's just old and not as swift as I am. But I'm finding it near impossible to find the Xbox One S or X... unless you pay like $500 for it, and even then its used and from not so trustworthy sources. So I suppose my question is, am I missing something or is that just how it is?

Digital better. Regardless of CD or not you still have to download from the CD on to the system in order to play it. Why not just get the digital copies and skip the step of having to download from the disc before you can even play it.

Well I've got say... 25 games or so xbox 360 games. Granted I've beat most of them and a lot of the games are the type of games after you've beat them... they aren't games you want to replay like COD/Gears of War/Batman Arkham City/Borderlands, once you beat of fuck it use them as beer coasters or whatever.
But some are games you'd want to replay, sports games etc. And honestly I'd just much rather have games on a disk. And the new Xbox S series (the one that doesnt have a cd drive) is also really hard to find.

And obviously these companies.. Microsoft and Sony know exactly what they're doing by making the market scarce.
Wouldn't doubt if their subsidiary companies were the ones that bought them all up immediately so they could sell it at 10x the price. Same as a drug dealer if you had that influence in a certain area, dry up the area for a week or 2, see how many people run at you offering $100 for a dime bag.
