Ehhh, touting voting like it is the pinnacle of community engagement and a 'duty' etc. etc. is at the heart of the problem. Electorialism is an illusion of participatory politics. Get involved in some mutual aid, get to know your neighbours, find out what's being organised on the ground where you are.
