rip the plastic from the package of twenty-five darts
lit & ashed quick-fast as I thrust each one in my heart sparked a flame near my lips, teeth tarred & stained started a chain reaction which happens to be hard to change scarred & maimed lung tissue... largely inflamed charred remains of carbon taking a large part of the blame smoked two packs a day at least fifteen years or so knew the risk of cancer to be there, but didn't fear it though so as these tobacco leaves burn aromatic i gasp & wheeze, my battle to breathe turns air so tragic convinced i felt fine, truth is, i'm dyin' & quick my minds adrift, can't seem to count all the time that i'll miss half a million peace pipes in my life were gettin' lit but i piped too much of the peace, so now i'm gonna rest in it to put the cherry on top, puffin' that smoke life's a drag & carries on as i become the butt of its joke |
