Rules

Due Dates:

• Verses are due WEDNESDAY,
  July 16th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends Friday July 18th 2014 11:59 PM PST.
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours
• You will be GRANTED ONE EXTENSION throughout the Tourney. Any extension beyond the first will result in loss of votes.

Line Limit:

• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 16 lines
• Limit MUST be agreed upon

General Rules:

• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
  linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
  means you will be disqualified.
• A check in IS mandatory.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
  must match the 1st person's line amount.

Velocity was 2 simple nik flip was ok, hail, fail to land are played, paracite coulda been good but why would kin remove the bugs, coulda been nice rest didn't hit hard

Bags had a different style more of a swag and flow verse, his last 6 probably get him the win, shotgun made me lol not because it was good tho, ransom was lotb and rape scene was nice 2, I dunno he dropped any shit to win and it was closer than it shoulda been but bags gets the win

Good mediocre text battle. I read thoroughly and appreciated the effort from both parties. I liked the rafters line the most, it was good and hard hitting, pretty funny. Velocity had a lot of decent lines that didnt provide much sting, or were just a tad bit off for my taste. Not off as in bad, but they didn't provide a humoristic effect, although the cadence and set-ups were evident. For example the dying to land line was a gutted attempt, it was a generic that didn't really have any connection to the battler other than your personal subjective opinion on him, it wasn't economized or anything. Plus it seemed stretch in terms of key words use, jets that are low on fuel, lol it just seemed a little bit too long, and with most text battles everything is centered on what's being said last, too much focus on the last thing, it's formulaic and very boring to me. Though your next lines were full of humor, the message first, etc etc. Cool stuff! Paracite? Seemed stretched as hell. Unless you're using some version of cite/site idk. Seemed thoroughly stretched, although I can see attempts of good set ups in this cornered version of writing.

bags has very formulaic writing as well, lol. the wolves line is a prime example, although what brought it to fruition was the relevancy insisted. William Wallace line was garbage. Unless you had specific emphasis on the word wasted, where I dont see any, and I don't feel like thinking for more than 5 seconds, so it's just null and void. The lines following the previous lines I mentioned were full of humoristic nameplay, which heightened the effect of whatever you were conveying. Running for safety, was literally a hair away from being lame, but it connected, and eveyrthing else was stellar, infact it was a moderately close battle, it's just whatever suits your style and taste more, and I personally think bags took it with more cleaner cut lines, although both faltered dearly in some aspects. Thought velocity started hard. I was feeling dynasty, rafters,daughter was lotv. Didn't feel thewording was good on the last three tho.

Bags was dope. Wording was on point.didn't like slugs line tho.
Overall i thought velocity was going to pull an upset but he ran out of steam.
Bags was consistent throughout. Possibly my fav battle so far.

Velocity: The Knicks line was good but poorly worded. The same thing could be said for the low on fuel line. Otherwise nothing stood out to me. The wording was the real problem because you were overwrought and tried to make things more complex than they were. I did like that you tried to be personal, but those lines never were worded to seem mean.

Bags: The style contrast here is palpable. Your ideas were much simpler, but your wording was pretty dead-on. A few played concepts definitely hurt, but I really liked the Braveheart line and the rape scene line. You'll have to be more creative against tougher competition, but you did enough to move on here.

I like it. Simple, basic and to the point. Generic name play with a "Oh you can't get bitches/you don't get pussy you ugly fuck, concept but the wordin an execution was smooth.

All in all, I got Velocity edgin this one out. I feel, Bags had some decent'ish Bars but nothing too direct or personal to give him the Win, IMO. I think Velocity took a personal approach and all tho, a lot of his personals had some wordin issues, I think some still connected better then Bags random'ish could spit at anyone type of bars.
