White people would make up at least 90% of the top 20 rappers of all time

White people keep running hiphop.
Look at kreashawn. Look at mgk Look at yellawolf. Look at vanilla ice for christ sake. Before white people hip hop was part of the black culture and vice versa. Aftet white people. Its become a business. ..and has nothing to do with black culture. Call me what u feel. WHITE PEOPLE RUINED HIPHOP. |

in a sense, white people are responsible for hip-hop (as we know it), seeing as it began as a way for blacks to voice a message born from their oppression
just saying

Money killed hip hop...we went from a revolutionary form of expression to talk about society ills to blatant brand marketing and fake trend setting...pagans and heathens that will praise artists more than objectively listen to it for what it's worth...entertainment...and no matter how big a black person is I.e. Oprah jay z....there's a white dude cutting their checks cuz they have a massive and direct influence on their culture....That's why jay z wants you to question religion....all power lies in self...that Machiavellian attitude is very in line with some forms of humanism and satanism...fact...jay z stopped needing god for help years ago..but funny thing is....it's a war against Christianity than organized religion as a whole...why else would Jay z..Jehovah or Jay hova...himself name a Christian relic in his album title...
.believe what Jay-Z tells you but I rather believe in God and find out there isn't one...then not to believe and find out there is one....and say what you want but even with atomic tyler the future sig....there is a growing acceptance of occult symbols that are becoming more prevalent in music.. now jay can be doing this outta entertainment kanye can change his name to yeezus and say I am God....but it's all harmless right? and kesha can dance in a black mass with pentagram in the background yet be the idol of millions of tying girls...eventually your daughters and not think there isn't some sort of sinister undercurrent that's during thru hiphop and other cultures? one more thing...I was watching game of thrones and there's a part that says a man does not become such and powerful by being honorable...so money is power...power corrupts....absolute power corrupts absolutely... |

Think he was trying to say white oppression of black people was a catalyst, among other things Hip Hop was an outlet, something that gave them a voice and a way to break out of and condemn opression.
I don't think he means white people invented it, more that their actions helped create the feelings of anger and injustice portrayed in Hip Hop.

that's what I thought he meant....im really not trying to be a racist..but I know I speak some truth when I say white people ruined hiphop..
I mean godam it..when hiphop was hiphop we had emcees talking about real shit...saying something behind the lyrics... once hiphop was pushed into the mainstream...white America decided it was to real...next thing you know we got what we got now.. stupid talentless people pushing trends ands trying to sell you an image of what hiphop should be like. bottom line is hiphop is a corporation.... |

Watering down of music is just what happens when something blows up. Thats been the way music is since the classical era. Mozart was the original wiz khalifa in that sense

very good points SN....Mozart was the first industry established "star" the first musical biographies were about him etc....he also wrote nothing. all the work was attributed to him by others. just some thoughts....in his time was the rise of the modern music industry.

There really isn't a distinction between Hip Hop and Pop these days in the eyes of the average person, they're one in the same thing.
I dislike that, but who's to say I'm right and they're wrong? You gotta go with what sells, and that's what they're doing. Just cuz I don't feel a lot of it doesn't mean they should stop, because obviously I'm in the minority...its all opinion, in 10 years from now there will be people who are kids today looking back at what they consider to me the best time of Hip Hop, disliking the new shit that's getting hot because its not what they perceive hip hop to be. And so on and so forth for eternity.
