I'm not a wine drinker and know nothing about good/bad wine but the culture there revolved around wine from what I understood in speaking with residents in the areas visited. There was like a day dedicated to drinking wine in one of the local neighborhoods. Thought that was a bit extreme but w/e. Really nice culture and atmosphere but then again anywhere far from home what what you're accustomed to is nice.

Red wine doesn't go in the freezer. You keep it at room temperature, heathens.

Generally the further you can put your thumb up the raised part at the bottom of the bottle, the better it's quality. If there's no gap at all, it's a cheap tasting house wine.

That's about all my knowledge on wines for you all.

Red wine served too cold (or too warm) loses some of its character, the aroma especially.

Room temp especially where I'm at is the way to go. 65 degrees I'd say is perfect.

White wine can be refrigerated. It slows the whole process down and keeps it longer. I don't drink white, though, so do what you will with that NC afficionados.

Italy pizza better than NY easily & I've never been...low-key nothing special about NY pizza if you have a mom and pop shop near that cares about there product they are just as good. When I was staying in NY on Fresh Pond (off metropolitan ave) I had plenty of pizza from Rosas, Tony, Carlos, etc..and were average.....all them basic first name Italian pizza shops. IMO
