Wallaby, Parent Company, Cholera
Vs. Bus, Pulling Leg Wasn't feeling Boxum or the quote punch from Dom. The storm line was ok. Strict Confidence was ok. From Strik, I wasn't feeling the first half. Those two I quoted were dope. I've got Dom here. Just was feeling a bit more of his verse. |

Dominate ended terribly, had top two punches, Strikta had much better misses. V/Strikta edged it with more consistency

Dope battle.
Dom had his opener, which was a fresh wordplay concept, but could of had better wording or been executed better. The concept is fire, though. The blow bucks some aspect of it is just kind of funny. No one says blow bucks some, they'd say blow some bucks. I know you had to do it to make the wordplay work, but idk. I still like the concept, though. Wallaby is fire. Good preemptive strike counter personal on him using Aussie punches. Wordplay concept is fresh as fuck. Limited Parent Company is dope as fuck. Great personal and fresh concept. Cook up a Storm is solid. The personal is cool and the bar itself is technically sound. Doesn't make say wow, but it's not bad nonetheless. Abort is harsh as fuck. Not the most creative or complex line ever, but an extremely hard-hitting personal all the same. Brought up as a wigga wasn't too great. It's definitely one of your worst lines. It's kind of funny - that's about it, though. Not very creative or complex, just kind of a filler type line. I have no idea why you'd take the risk of using a quote punch (right in the middle of your verse no less), when ill nik-A just made a thread about it. Not only that, but you even replied in the thread saying they aren't too great other than once at the beginning of the verse? I'm baffled, quite honestly. Strict Confidence is solid. Technically sound, nothing wrong with it. Doesn't make me go wow, but it's a decent little jab. Cholera Bout was sick. Fresh wordplay and concept, strong personal hit. Only thing that makes me dislike it just a tiny bit is mom/one doesn't rhyme too good in my accent. I'm sure it works perfectly fine though in yours as you've always been pretty good at rhyming throughout the years. Overall dope verse. Standouts were Wallaby, Limited Parent Company and Cholera Bout. The others were at least average if not above, just not eye-catching. Buxom could of been another quote if reworded or flipped differently maybe. The quote punch was the only real weakpoint and confazzles me at the moment. On to Strik's verse. Flush in the other direction is fire. Great opener and personal based punch. CBS is indeed an old wordplay, but had a fresh spin on it with the current event. Minor disappearance is pretty good. Minor isn't too fresh and the multie is slightly off, but other than that, a solid hit. Rest in da eyes is solid. Nothing wow, but a decent jab. Rest in/restin (and similar) wordplays have been done quite a bit in the past, at least from what I've saw (longbar). City bus is dopppe. Just a really strong connection. The comma with the like linking I wasn't feeling, but that's a minor annoyance and more preference for smoothness than anything. Pullin' my leg is sick, too. I don't like the placement at all, though. Just had a 'fuck your girl' punch and then another right after. Dom Capers is solid. Not feeling it as much as your standouts, but decent hit. Closer to me is too obscure. I don't get the wordplay either of Rudd. I'm guessing you meant something along the lines of sleeping with the fishes, maybe Rudd is a fish? I don't know. Ok, just looked it up as I don't wanna hear no complaining about not understanding bars after my vote (even though I seen others didn't get it either) and Rudd is a fish I guess as well as the Prime Minister of Australia. It's ok, doesn't wow me. Could of probably used something else in place of it given how it's being rated, though. Overall dope verse, too. Standouts were Flush in da other direction, pull da string to da side and pullin' my leg. The others were all solid hits mostly with the closer being possibly the worst for the simple fact it was too obscure and kind of weird with the whole replacing fishes with Rudd (I see what you did there). Well, I think that's enough breaking down of the verses, let's move on to the final breakdown, shall we? Overall, this is a veryyy close battle, so it's no surprise it's the last one up and keeps getting tied. Anyways, I thought both had the same number of standouts. As far as which standouts I liked more, that's a tough one. I guess I could go with Dom for more variety (2 out of 3 being "I fucked your girl' punches and back to back no less). I'd also like to make note that Dom's concepts overall seemed to be more original and just better, IMO. His Buxom could of been a quotable if worded differently. Still pretty solid. His only real WTF moment was his quote punch. That was just plain out ill advised. Strik was more obscure overall and had more things I've seen done before (CBS, rest in da eyes, minor disappearance). He flipped them well, but the fact they are somewhat familiar has to be taken into consideration. Overall close battle, both were about as consistent as one another. Strik maybe slightly more so only because of Dom's quote punch, but other than that one line, Dom's lows weren't as low and their highs were about the same. Close one that can obviously go either way, but as you can tell from my breakdown, I'd have to lean towards Dominate here. I just thought he had the fresher concepts and more variety here. He also went much more personal and had some really harsh lines, I forgot to mention that. That could actually lean me more in his direction and make this not as close as I had it. Strik was a lot more generic, which isn't a bad thing, but when someone comes at you like Dom did with personals in almost every single line as well as some being really tough, it does kind of start hurting you. John Hensley vs. Allen Knight in that keystyle tourney comes to mind. Hens came with pretty much a full generics verse with like three or more movie references, lol. Allen came with some hard-hitting personals and swept the votes. Strik didn't come with three movie references, but he did come with a couple 'I fucked your girl' punches and in a row no less. Those did hurt considering how close it is. Dom did fuck up with that quote punch, but I also thought Strik fucked up with that obscure punch and I just wasn't feeling his nonquotes as much outside of that quote one from Dom. So yeah, like I said. Close one, but I got Dom edging it slightly. Both did well here though and whoever makes it to the next round has a strong chance of winning the whole thing. Props to both. /v dominate |

good battle
dom had some good concepts and all, but some of them fell short for me -i think it was wording error imo. had a couple lines that leaned me though strikta opened up pretty lulz and stayed consistent. pretty direct and had more lolz i got strikta here in a dope battle, just more consecutive with landing blows v-strikta
