Beat selections. Are they dope for the most part. Should i find other shit and just go a whole different route for a little bit. I got real comfy over them kanye tyoe beats lately. But obviously i dont want to be like kanye. I listened to fallen angel and said to myself, i says, geno.. You sounded a lot like pusha t over that joint. Wtf.

Which maybe good idk. I find myself hearing myself and thinking i sound a lot like other peopkes flows and its totally unintentional. What do you think about this shit?

So ive been thinking of going in a whole nother direction. Should be interesting. Almost the same kind of content but different. More self aware of what im talki g about and why im talking about. Which has a lot to do with why i came to where i am at now. I mean.. Its always about recognizing flaws and wanting to change them right? Anytime you make a drastic change in your life theres a serious reason. Weather your deciding out of pure inner want or you just feel forced to make a heavy decision that alters everything in your life. I guess thats where im headed. I want to reach out to people who recognize they need a change and need someone they can relate with. So in a sense.. Itll be more uplifting shit. Or so i hope. My music will always have a dark underlying tone to it though. Everyone is either embracing or running from thier demons so i think it fits somehow. And not necessarily in a litteral sense people. What say ye'

its all about self expression though my nigga. every verse you write & the way its delivered is an extension of yourself.

that being said, reality is, most people have lost their SELF, & thus find themselves (or rather dont find themselves) copycatting all the muthafuckin time. all imitation, no innovation.

there's a balance though. everything you've ever experienced has influenced you to some degree. from thuggin with your mans, to crying with your moms, to listening to pusha, to listening to some soppy shit, its all apart of you. but none of it is the entire picture....iunno if this shit resonating or not i give a fuck tbh.

its the arts though nigga, for me its always about self extension, self expression, & (maybe most importantly) self discovery. each verse is mirroring an aspect of your being. so there's light & there's dark - & eeeeeeeeverymuthafucckthing inbetween. tbh i could talk for days on the topic of what "art" is exactly. but fuck writing it lol

on a sidenote, if you hearing yourself back thinking your sound like so & so....suggestion....take a break from rap music...maybe take a break from music period & see where your pen draws. if youre constantly putting shit in...you become less adept at pulling the shit out from within...like you ever feel like you aint rapping a verse, more its being written through from the depths of youre soul n sht? eh iunno, it's always been more than just rhyming words & putting them shits together....s'why most these text niggas been whack as fuckkk & stay whack as fuck circle jerk each other on some ho shit
