comet ison
Keep an eye on it. Finding out many new things about this space invader. It is hyperbolic...coinciding with the last ice age. Also NASA has also said they cannot predict what will happen if it survives the sun on the 28th. Three to five km at the core. If the sun sends it in pieces...these pieces will all be slingshot around the sun and all will have there own trajectories. These pieces would compare sizeably to the Russian meteor that hit earlier this year.
On a lighter note...if it remains intact it will be heralded as one of the most dazzling displays in the night sky for quite sometime as it heads back out on an enlongated elliptical orbit

Fyi...the jpl model has changed its hyperbolic status three different times since the weekend. It was initially found to be a one hitter quitter up until this weekend. It gave mars: a tail and it boasts six to seven tails of its own. Also survived a cme which turned it blue

Been reading about comet ison.
I didn't read this though, what is the probability of one of those pieces hitting earth?

Dunno. Trajectories are incalculable as of now

Sun just shot another cme at ison. If you know Jim mccanneys model on the electric universe then you know what's good

James McCanney is objectively a physics hack... like, he doesn't understand basic E&M that he uses to posit his theories.

this is the 2nd time Ison has been shot by the sun. Even the orbital influence in speed, these are charged masses interacting with one another, growing tails, changing colors. This solar maximum is one of the lowest on record, then this ball of ice and dust appears (snickers) and somehow beckons the attention of the OG around these parts. Yeah.....that little ball of ice and dust lol

Well, most of his theories revolve around an idea that the sun's solar wind is positively charged particles... he believes this because the sun emits large streamers of positively charged particles into space
But this just means it is ionized. There are loads (loads) of experiments done on the solar wind in space that show that it is ionized, not charged. If the sun emits positive charge, a negative charge would have to collect on its surface... this negative charge on the surface would result in a completely different model for the sun's magnetic field and the movement on the sun's surface that we see/ measure with different imaging techniques etc. Quote:
....essentially, McCanney hangs onto this assumption because it is the basis for the rest of his work- disproving the snowy dustball comet model or w/e Quote:
the dynamics of the tail formation rely on the comet passing through a charged medium, which space is not... he's clinging to a variation on the "aether" model of space, most likely due to bitterness from being discredited by his former peers at Cornell... I actually feel for the guy. anyways, on top of all that, he has some really outrageously dumb views on comet size/ gaining mass that only exist to create symmetry in his web of inaccuracy. like, he believes that comets gain mass by collecting dust as they travel through space at 30-45 km/s and that they are incrementally growing all the time. but when you have a collision, there is energy transfer. the number of collisions grows exponentially as the comet grows due to increased surface area this means HUUUUUUUUGE amounts of energy are being transferred into the comet and he still believes that the comet is growing indefinitely during all this well, if you work out the math, the comet would essentially have to be absorbing energy equal to 2,500 TRILLION NAGASAKI BOMBS EXPLODING ON ITS SURFACE EVERY SINGLE SECOND Okay. Now, let us assume that Nbiru is the size of our moon. it is hurtling Chyeahhh. hurtling. towards the earth. this object being, as McCanney describes it, a hot, dense mass of rock, has a certain gravitational binding energy. Or an energy that must be overcome to tear it apart. So, using numbers from before, the energy required to vaporize a comet of the Moon's mass would be about 10^36ergs, or one-hundredth the heat released by the impacts. The heat caused by McCanney's "mass gain" is actually enough to destroy the comet itself. it's a huge house of cards, Chyeahhhh

also the only way to access most of his documents and theories is in like, pseudoscience novels at bookstores and through his website's collection of DVD's (buy $249 of items and get shipping free!!!!)...
and his theories and articles are littered with snipes at Cornell and academia and NASA. when really, his ideas are at odds with every astronomer across the globe. and clearly every Peer, as they chuck his papers in the trashbins at Reviewed Journal Inc.

Just dropping by to confirm @Chyeahhh Guevara is the greatest incarnate of all Chyeahhh names and should be the new official #1 go to. Also, I've not only read much on Ison but have seen unedited NASA footage on a specialized film reel in a private theater. Be afraid

@ Split all of his shows are free on his website, there are even pdf's floating around of his books. He doesn't even charge for interviews lol. Psuedo scientific is just another way of saying that he isn't mainstream accepted. Just trigger words of ignorance
