You're dope, bud. But I was just wondering why you felt you can haphazardly diss Em and Nas? It's fine.. and you did them well... just wondering why you thought you could go there.. They have a lot of cred.. I have critiques of Em too, and to a lesser extent Nas... that being said I understand you could use it as good shock value/ content matter.. As I listen more - you're more of a critiquer-- shouting out positive influences and many rappers on both sides.. I could just be missing your satirical tone in the disses, which i employ myself, but am too stoned to understand at the moment.. Anyway, nicely produced and executed so far. Well done, but I gotta defend Shady and Escobar, I'm sure they've influenced us all. Last edited by Pharaohs Army; 12-03-2022 at 12:21 AM. |

My problem with Eminem is that he hired a guy named Resto to ghostwrite his music, so whenever you look at his song credits and you see that name, just think who it is that's actually responsible for that song you're listening to. Also, the version of Eminem I enjoyed the most was when he turned life into satire, not in a cornballish sing songy way, but with the witticism of his lyrics. That would be the 90's version of Eminem, when he wrote his own music and didn't pay other people to do it for him.
And Nas? Another guy I used to consider a lyricist, until it came out that he pays other people to write his material. I firmly believe that in no way shape or form is it acceptable for a lyricist to EVER have somebody write for them, because then YOU aren't the lyricist, the guy you PAID to write YOUR lyrics is the lyricist. |
