The Quarter Finals Magazine
Introduction Hello, elite 8. Welcome to the Quarter Finals magazine. This took awhile for me to put up, but I had a busy weekend and couldn't get to my computer for enough time to do one. Battles are due tonight and it's looking to be dope. Everyone in this round has the potential to win it all. Karaoke is a current event flip specialist and has beat some of the best, but only champing one less relevant tourney and the NBL twice during season play. Metts is one of the last of his generation of text still killing it, and last round showed experience can beat out the up and comers of today. Alvin Karpis is last years winner and one of the few questionable HOF candidates depending on how this turns out. Always dope and humorous with his punches. Philly is STILL undefeated on NC (1 and 2) at around 30-0 I believe, and not against weak competition. Will he finally champ something big to make it more than a win streak? Beyond is the newest HOF member and one of the best to do it on multiple platforms despite the hate he gets. Winning this will shut up all the doubters. Allen Knight was fought his way here as one of the newer always-finalist on NC, champing a lot of the more recent titles and competitions or at least being in the finals of them. Dominate is a longbar legend that never got the shine he deserved on old NC, only champing the Battle Arena once. On new NC he has champed the NBL, and could easily champ the Summer Classic. Strikta is an easy mac packet licking cry baby but can come with some cool verses, he won't win though. So now, let's get on with it... |

Reviews Joe Metts vs. Cashius Good battle, I thought Cashius was just a bit more consistent but his hits were heavier for the majority of voters. It was extremely close in votes though. Some people say Cash was robbed, I think Joe just had a verse that more people could dig based on style preference. I think that lame RB line hurt him in votes that were close edges. It was definitely an upset, Cash was one my picks for the final four. Best of Joe Metts, n u wack wit a verse. verses in 03 woulda left you in the back of a hearst Champ? Yea u Bennett but it was such a shock only the Cavs woulda drafted u 1st Best of Cashius, Sorry, bro. That shit sucked....this rap thing, I swear you should abort it I don't know what's more unbelievable...how whack it was or where it was recorded Alvin Karpis vs. Swerve Another close and dope battle. The reigning champ came through with a bit more consistency in the voters eyes, some simplicity lost it for Patrick. I thought he was the one a bit more solid, but overall people saw it the other way. Karp advances closer to a repeat. Best of Alvin Karpis, David blaine ya chick, have her servin tricks to every man at night & yall won't hear Pat sajack when I letter turn like vanna white You done hit your peak now everything you spit is weak Your style’s so piss poor it’s floating in the shower next to strikta’s feet Best of Patrick, Your heads the butt of pure jokes, and you aint kidding me brother, That shit’s such a monsterous block that thiago splitter still hasn’t recovered This dude can’t afford food, malnourished fighting me is reckless, It’s just a fact that Albino meals while I eat pale fucks like him for breakfast. God of War vs. Philly Dopest battle of the round. Extremely close, votes showed it but Philly managed to get the W and remain unsullied in his text efforts on Netcees. I've got him winning the SC atm if he shows up at his best for the rest of the tourney. Go peep it if you haven't already. Best of God of War, i just murdered this pussy, so fuck you and that lame ass motto, b you drink a monster every night to cram for exams, ur girl does it erytime she swallows me ur another dude who likes to pretend, have a seat its time to begin u'll probably think im ur new doctor phil, when i walk away wit ur wife at the end Best of Philly, My killer code is take enemies & their families down, so son you better pray Cuz the only killer code you got...is for a shitty PC game that no one'll ever play Raised a son, now try to grow a life. See I toss stacks to dimes that's down to blow tonight You throw chips at ya chick... only when ya pissed that ur computer-building ain't goin right ill nik-A vs. Dominate If Philly vs. GoW didn't happen this would have gotten the best of the round IMO. Closer than the voting totals show, but all votes I saw seemed to be pretty tight and mostly edges. Dominate took out nika much earlier than I'd expect him to drop from competition and shows promise for the finals. Best of ill nik-A, I’m the shit, plus original & too clever so u’ll never win bro I’m well recognized while u have that it looks familiar but worded better syndrome I have a buzz for winning see these here are cash lines My name has that ring to it… urs goes to Jared, proposes and gets a no on the Jumbotron durin halftime Best of Dominate, & dawg, ya mom’s BEEN a maid. She ain’t in the States the legal way - If she gotta Pledge Allegiance it’s cuz that’s her Favourite Cleaning Spray Honestly you’re enormous, & you’d stay whining over diets son Any time u ain’t eating Pork u Pine & ur cholesterol’s had more Spikes than one Allen Knight vs. Sharp Nine Sharp couldn't bring enough to finish one of his higher profile matches. Allen came correct and advances further on. Sharp still elevating and will be in higher rounds in no time. Much better match than I think people gave it credit for, just as many hits as the rest of the battles. Best of Allen Knight, the shit u say on heres a mockery, ur tails are the fuckin wack type only time i wanna see nine stories, is watching u fall head first from that height aimin' the double barrel at ur temple, poppin at limbs to murk ya till the point ur brains are split eight ways & he writes a OM on his twins murda Best of Sharp Nine, dude cant handle chicks. do girls wanna date him? never Al Green w/ relationships... and ironically never hears 'lets stay together' dude barely beat chyeahh in a cyph. thats like pitiful's definition we all know Al Po' at text... considering that dude's his main competition . . . Everything else was a no show. Orc for some reason gave Strikta a free pass. Bags bitched out against his enemy in what would have been battle of the round tied with GoW/Philly most likely, and would have created quite a bit of controversy and drama no matter what way it went. And Defiant didn't show up, he probably would have lost thought, Kar is dope and his wording is eh and his punches are to basic. Wish Hens had showed up for that battle to happen. |

Predictions by Sharp Nine & Meth Karaoke v Mets Sharp: Should be a good battle, haven’t seen Kar have a real battle in awhile. Joe can come with some quality lines, but like we saw last week he can go for a jokier approach that not everyone finds to be too hard-hitting. I remember Karaoke being solid as hell and I doubt he’s rusty at all. I can see this battle coming down to preference in style but I personally think Karaoke can do more damage than Mets as long as he doesn’t fall into the trap of using some overdone fat jokes. Karaoke: 60/40 ------------------- Meth: There's been a hell of a whole lot going on in discussion lately so Joe can not sleep on Karaoke. Metts been coming with them bangers as usual and slipped by Cashius last round. Karaoke has not had a tough road. I think he's been no showed every round in fact. That's not his fault though, who knows he could have won all of them. I had him as at least the favorite in 2 of them so he might still be here but he also would have had to gone through Hush. Anyway, this could be really cool and probably will be. Metts is always fresh, and Kar is always current. I got Joe with the unanimous decision. Joe Metts 60/40 Philly v Alvin Karpis Sharp: Dope matchup. Both guys have been dropping at a quality that could mean winning it all. Both guys just got past some heavy hitters and are clearly capable of solid shit. But going off of last week’s performances, I give Philly a decent edge. Both battles were split decisions but Philly definitely took his more convincingly, while Karp squeaked past Swerve in a close one. Capable of going either way but I see Philly dropping hotter lately. Philly:60/40 --------------- Meth: Battle of the Round. This will be crazy honestly. Philly ain't lost in a year and I know all of you are probably sick of me saying it but I'm gonna keep saying it until someone fucking beats him. Alvin is the defending Summer Classic Champion and I guarentee he would absolutely love to be the first and only person to ever champion multiple Classics, and also doing it back to back would be that extra little kick. Well, anyway, both battlers slipped by TOUGH competition last round. Phil took down hall of famer and Summer Classic IV runner up God of War, and Alvin took out Swerve the Canadian. Damn this battle's gonna be hot. Philly 51/49 Beyond vs. Allen Knight Sharp: Both guys have had pretty easy paths to get here, with Beyond’s biggest opponent being Evolve and AK’s me, both with convincing wins. I’m looking forward to seeing these guys writing for serious competition. Both guys are capable of some bangers but from what I’ve seen from each I give a slight edge to Bey. That said, Allen’s not to be ignored and could pull an upset here. Beyond: 60/40 --------------- Meth: Thi should be good shit. Allen beat Sharp Eight last round and Beyond got no showed by Bagatron. Allen has been consistent, as has Beyond of course. A lot of cool lines are gonna come out of this one, Allen been stepping his game up for the SC and Beyond is still fucking Beyond. Should be good, should be close, could go either way and I look forward to reading it. The dice landed on a Snake Eye though. Beyond 60/40 Dominate vs. Strikta Sharp: Another solid match that has potential to be crazy., and my personal pick for BOTW. Both guys have some killer wording that can make any bar dope, and while they have had the occasional meh concepts they’ve been pretty consistent lately, Dom managing to edge out nika in a dope battle last week. Strik hasn’t had much as far as competition goes but he’s still been dropping like he has, bringing out a killer verse two weeks ago. This should be the closest of the week imo, definitely looking forward to it but I give the edge to Dominate on more preference - I just personally feel like his hardest hitters can do a lil more damage Dominate: 55/45 ---------------- Meth: This will be the sleeper of dopeness. It seems people forget how dope Strikta comes when he gets his head in the game and out of the chlorex. (This joke will never tire, sorry Strik). Dominate is nothing easy to walk over though, former BA champion and NBL champion. Long bar legend (Maybe? idk, I just know he did long bar so whatever.) Anyway, Strikta won by no show over Orc, and Dom got by the master of consistency ill nik-A. I personally think Strikta wins this, an surprised everyone. But as far as odds go. Dominate 65/35 |
