Rules

Due Dates:
• Verses are due FRIDAY by 11:59 PM PST.
• Voting ends MONDAY ideally
• Battles that lack votes may close later.
• One sided battles may get closed early.
• Extensions are 24 hours, anything longer is a DQ and/or Double DQ
• To avoid issues, you are encouraged to PM me your verse in advance

Line Limit:
• Min. = 10 lines
• Max. = 20 lines
• The max. can be higher if different is agreed upon by both.

Voting:
• I do not have time to count links, and I know nobody wants to post them because it’s tedious. Do your part and vote or I’m making house calls.

General Rules:
• 1st person to post can't edit after the 2nd person posts.
• 2nd person to post can't edit after a vote has been made.
• Feeding = DQ.
• Recycling = DQ.
• Biting = DQ.
• No freeposting, swaying or bitching.
• Unless a picture battle is agreed upon,
linking to your opponent's picture or posting it
means you will disqualified.
• A check in isn't mandatory, but it is encouraged.
• If your opponent doesn't check in,
you still have to post a verse.
• Competitors should agree on a line limit in their check in.
• If no line limit is agreed on, then the 2nd person to post
must match the 1st person's line amount.

The last 3 from Spree we’re pretty tight. Liked traffic circle. Wands opener & turn on ya profile was cool. Closer was ok too, wording left more to be desired. Close match but I’m edging this to Spree. I liked his filler more than Wands.

in wand's defense, I think a lot of that was troll voting and it's pretty shitty that he took an L for that. But that's just a tangent that's irrelevant to this bar. This is alright though

I didn't fully understand this bar at first, I discerned from your set-up + google that this was referencing some kind of tracheotomy device, but there's at least 2 other types of lightwands (one for photography and one for sterilization) that showed up first when I googled the term. Overall this is a good concept and well executed but just too obscure imo

Not really sure what the tie-in here is unless its just you saying you dont have a mirror on the car, which doesnt really land for me. Overall I think there's some sort of disconnect in between how you perceive this idea as the writer and how I'm interpreting and responding to it as a reader.

I think maybe some other angle with throw away and filler would've been a little harder, but I understand that you engineered the bar starting from the cliche. This is solid overall

Nah I wasn't really feeling this for some reason. It's not bad, but I have seen a few profile/facial profile bars before and the "turn on" verb wasn't fresh enough for me

Overall I think this was a closer battle than the voting is gonna show. Wanderer had some cool concepts, stones throw away was solid and the hopscotch bar reminds me of something I would've written way back in the day. But overall I think the biggest difference maker in this battle imo wasn't concepts or execution, it was simply wording and word choice. Spree's verse just has a much more aggressive tone and it helped his bars land harder. I think if Wanderer could make that adjustment to his verse next week, he'll be in better position to get the W.

V bomb... Stronger bars.. I think wanderer is right there with the idea but just need to tweak his shit to hit harder... Wording it better would help and add more sting..also get a little more creative with ur punches...easier said then done but just work on rewriting ur bars to hit harder ..the lines I quoted were just ok... And the opener has been done alot..u gotta get more creative with the nameplay if u gonna use them on people that been around for awhile

Cool battle. I feel like I'm saying this a lot this week, but whatever.

Bard - opening six lines were cool, I can't really give too much credit to personals because I've been gone for so long, but you had a link to back it up, and cool quotes and whatnot, so sure, it works. Traffic circle was cool too, Lightwand as well.

Wand - wording's off on the opener, still a cool nameplay idea though. clap over dialogue was good. the rest was either a miss or worded just a tad poorly. hopscotch line could've been great, but the wording made it suffer.
