I read the Certain and Rawn battle and agree Certain should have won. Rawn's verse was to type for a topical battle. Rigid structure layered with set mechanics. Certain's imagery was vivid and his word choice was levels above. It's incredibly hard to make the reader forget they are reading a ''topical'' and allow them to experience a story. Those votes are disheartening.

@Certain - I remember Rawn's verse because of "un-groomed face" and "genuflect in his arms" and "treaded their tithes". That shit doesn't even make sense. But sometimes when you use words like schism and Jainism and fastidious then you win automatically because VOCAB

After seeing this thread argument and reading both verses, the right person won. Not sure why this is being discussed now, but certains word choice wasn't anything special, neither was the flow or the story. The details are vague to the point that it's not clear and three narration seems unfocused. The only content that gets any attention is the nasty part which describes that the writer's gay sex with the guy is "looser" than the sex with the girl. There's an opening of an omish tradition and no mention of anything omish in the verse. It reads like a girls diary entry with no details. Not a good read in any way. Idk why anyone would think that deserves any win. Dickriding has gone bananas in more ways than one.

I've lost plenty of other times. I won't complain about any of them. That battle was fucking stupid, like a dividing line between people who can read and who can't read. For instance, Masaii.

IMO, the verse seemed to be very subtle on purpose as if the gay element of your verse, Certain, wasn't clear. Seems like the verse itself is in the closet.

It's about a guy in love with both a man or boy as well as a girl or woman. It's written as if within the age of innocence from a sex and relationship angle and with that type of risky content, you can't be surprised you lost and with the content being so subtle, you can't expect everyone to see your gay angle to call anyone homophobic. It wasn't that clear.

15 hours today and pulling another one tomorrow. I honestly have no idea how I can write a mag. You guys may have to sit tight and wait on a double mag. Don't have the time to Re read that battle certain. Maybe before I crash, but I'm interested now. Either way, win voting is preferenced based so basically calling people who voted against you stupid is, well, moronic. I know you don't mean to offend, but it happens to us all man. The fact you hung on to the spite this long speaks volume to how much you truly want or wanted to win and be the best. I respect that a hell of a lot man, really do. I myself get Mad at a lot of votes but don't care too too much because when I go back and read my shit a year later I understand it sucks. I get my flow isn't the best, but the thing is, I rap all of my topicals to a beat and it sure does flow well when I read it. Either way, see you guys soon hopefully. Barely Wednesday and I already worked just shy of 40 hours cause I'm a beast. It also might be worth mentioning to you certain, as you have thrown it in my face multiple times, I've been clean and sober for three full months. I realized I'm a better father then human being and simply decided to be the best man for my family if it means I sacrifice something I love doing, I e getting drunk every other night. I now save 400 bucks a month that I was otherwise dropping on brew
