There's lots of nonprofit orgs out there, reach out via email respectfully, show your resume, and ask if they're interested in adding a contributor to their blog (doesn't have to be a byline, can be anonymous). Try 5-8 nonprofits, definitely smaller and less popular, and see what they say. It's a constructive use of your time and may open the door to contracting work.

Haha I actually hate being this guy. I do. But the amount of shit talkers on here is crazy. If the level of shit talking matched the level of the verses dropped I'd be okay with it. No, you didn't. You just thought it was an original thing to say... (it isn't.) Plus, there's other ways to connect rhyme schemes together that doesn't necessarily involve the final one or two syllables of a line.
