Symphony Concert
I'm a beggar of orchestral concert symphony
salvaging arbitrary tremors of afterthought in the second balcony, forty-second row nose bleeding, I occupy comfortably a proud oak chair. Blacklisted above muffled violin palpitations and insipid pulls of rhythmic murmur I begin to fold my concert program seven times. The Woodwinds dispatch a hum-drum of empty spectacle dog fighting the hollow sorties of paper airplanes raining down from the second balcony, forty-second row. Launched with the technology of my velcro shoe. The Strings respond one octave lower, pitched in stealth formation. Forcing a drop zone to dissident sound gardens of predatory hummingbirds. |

Book of Daniel
I saw the sky churning as oceans of ashes
Turning down rays of fire, fallout & flashes Burning up the night, kissing noble November Mixing the air with embers, opals, & splendors Exhaled from the heaven as pyroclastic flow To earth, blasting arrows with strong tip bows I got down on my knees, hands spread apart Beseeching God, believing he sees only hearts And if I am worthy, spare me not any concern I have children, they wouldn't be ready to burn I closed my eyes, perceiving a centurion sky Wrapping my mind against seven billion cries I saw, Ten thousand angels playing Chutes & Ladders With tools of harvest to tear truth from answers I saw all World powers raise up skeleton armies Behaving odd against a coming elephant tsunami Humanity running against the Host of Heaven Soaking up blood in the body fields of tension I saw Napoleon in front riding with a battle flag And Alexander in red planing amplitude in rags Following them were one hundred million soldiers Waging to circle a tree called Life, to mow it over The branches were thick trunks of Lebanon cedar At the base, a colossal end with a genuine reaper The sky furnace above waxed hot, torching like hell The tree went up in flames and the armies swelled The air was a thick cloud of chromatic volcano I blinked my eyes finally and behold the inferno! I saw, One hundred million necks hang from the Great Tree Dangling in the dense wind, swaying like quaint leaves A million silhouettes peppered the skyline like salt licks Collecting ash and scorch, limed with motor and brick All at once I heard the collective all cry out, gasping A last full measure asking mercy for trespassing A few moments later, I looked at both my hands, lifting my head high Giving praise to God that he let me be left alive I spit dirt and ash out, smacking my lips in thirst I vow to repent and to live within the scriptures I buttoned up my coat, tonight a hot wind grows Protecting me against the infinite day of hot coals.... |

Candy Cigarette
A memoir for the down trodden, to the ill forgotten:
Drift a mile in worn hauls, become her problems Be the barefooted strange girl on a cruise ship Apple bottom, candy cigarette, her nude lips Shirt soaked suction tight, clung to perfect body Provoking your silent awakening, pop a molly Sail. Over a full moon glowing underwater Below a sky befallen, darkened for the hour Floating November misery in seas of lemon light Swallowing the sun because it stolen the night Be you. Changed to never trust yourself Because a mile in you will never trust yourself Don't judge her, until you lived her book The cover is girl, and the material is rook Be you girl interrupted. All pumped full of lead Swimming with sharks in her head

Stand Up to Hunger
The large banner above read:
"Stand Up To Hunger" or some shit like that stitched with corporate logos reminding you continually of who puts on for 'your' city CNN, Twitter, Visa, Kraft and on and on, the usual... it hung in view of thousands of young-20-somethings mostly whom all were a proposed solution the "now or never generation", "the future" Stand Up To Hunger the buzz word or whatever Below, on the stage a familiar speech popped off, a Maybe-It's-Maybelline girl speaking on behalf of greater interests something about taking an implant to fix hunger, or some shit like that something like it's painless the future of tomorrow, today or whatever it was I could hardly hear or see her though the electrified spasm of humanity all in front of me, behind, to the left to the right, on top, on the bottom all over the place BUZZED... Smart phones, tablets and tech. positioning for their facebook picture a chance to be judged worthy or whatever the fuck in sight of their consummate queen to demonstrate high value or some shit like that Meanwhile, the speech grew the show ramped up celebrities appeared Lady Gaga with strange triangles above her head Bill and Linda Gates with bizarre hand gestures malnourished Asians came too skinny pawns next to the fat queen like advertisements like space monkeys like que-cards Hunger was the problem like a boogeyman in the desert spectacle was the reaction like the hit on the twin towers it was all there...hanging Boeing, CBS, Exxon, T-mobile on and on...on that banner "Stand Up To Hunger" the implant was the solution like all the people cried for saying, "lest we too starve" The speech was delivered, hard the final solution sold in dazzles establishing the crowd as a trend going viral for the cure, view counts the new standard in world community chipped, relevant and all flabbergasted the majority was in obscurity and the devil was in the details Still, yet Above them stretched out, unabated over the sea of expendability over the flock of free-range chickens Hanging with certainty, with all assiduity that large banner with its colossal resources on that day... did not give one fuck

Stairways
I will not settle for your story
of how your life was on my line written with blood in ocean waters grafted in some infested impromptu acting the prettier, casted from script that is not me, no so, what's the depth of your superficiality ? It's pumped full of malleable lead, melted down and tossed as chum to white sharks into black isles, swimming in deep water give it up, game is over. why go on just because the plot said so ? if yes, be taken alive by them But not before I tell you a truth I got a nastier serpents to defile and I'm not the real enemy, woman so please hold my hand and feel my pulse, explore it, unite sing songs, kiss, terry all night do all that, until you will hearken my voice and trace it up the highest stairway and ring it and toll it and bellow it 360 memorize its path and wail against kingdoms only then will your back turn 180 against the playwright as written in your heart, as in your mind back to the flesh, away from Spirit like a dog back to her vomit Let me speak, stay with me I demand to tell you my story fore now my mind burns colors, like solar flairs exciting warning bells collapsing on the precipitous of world war I'm the Yahweh soldier against shine and I don't apologize for it or replace that with your sin your board walk unto destruction its twists and turns its temptation to fornicate unceasingly on the scarlet back dress of the great whore You can only drink from one cup drink from the living waters go up that stairway you once climbed and bathe and hold up the golden brim and spill its truth down your breasts down your hips, dripping down to the small of your back pivot down to your calfs to your heel only then can you leave foot prints and evidence of the encounter come down to me again give in to the mystery as it will be as our witness

Sleep Giants
As a kid I had thoughts
about sleeping giants and thick green leafy stalks I wondered a lot too as a teenager kid thought maybe, perhaps I could climb atop one too wake them up, to talk things ask them knowledge and such how they felt about me becoming a giant too as a grown up big kid I gave up and walked off to safer places and that was that, of course I was too old to dream as a very old kid my walking cane agreed until the clouds parted and out came two pillars of heavy nimbleness up I went to a court of rumbling giants they were the sleeping greats so I thought at least then the truth, they soon told me was that I slept on them

Twisted Sisters
This is where I stand a Genius, a black hole
In a Forest, a photo image and I was front row Black and white blotched my souls epicenter And so it goes, leaving no holes to remember And that's what it is, no grey, no color No clichés, nor green shoots coming together Amongst a Forest, planted in a time forgotten In some shade of Nostalgia, brisk, hollow, rotten Amongst Aged trees- skinny twisted little sisters Unbelievably skittish with their devilish whiskers I stand. I withstood. Bare and demanding In this Ever-Wood And under my shoes a river ran, glittered Wedged in fiddled and frantic and fevered A black road, an Auto Way of introspection A sway of Rococo Flats dealing out life's lessons I simply am, so dew collected, damping two eyes Masking fear, hiding it, so it was OK to cry And I did, tearing salted apathy, whisking away Flushing out toxicity, tar, and with it, energy What was left was the Past of Present peace And a Present of one Future setting True East Just me and the Road, unceasing to say the least On it went, down the bend, and down more It's end was my beginning, rising with storms I am, so my blood was Red, and my intent Clear Not in a dream, no, an Event Horizon, drawing near I saw in the setting sun; everything about me It was fleeing, unplugging to excite another corner In another place, smothering over New World Orders With it went my flaws, ambitions and glaring cares Replaced by perfection declared by fear and flairs It's aura of isotopes flickered out, and since fell back In its absence a Shadow grows, and sick stars react On the other side of the world, upside down, no difference The Sun rose to routine, holding up its coexistence Soon, a nature hardly appreciated appeared A great depression loomed by eerie years She is dark and deary and weeps in tears She knew I was naked and needed a moonlight bath Cold and pale, washing away my Sun burnt wrath Now that she had me she said I was Genius That being a Sun kid seemed to be so meaningless Her depressive nature was a key to my lock Key to reflecting and application to all ticking clocks I then accepted my dismal existence Happy to posses the tools of creation And I painted with the brush strokes Every little piece and fragment of life So that even in my despair and darkness A moment of pure light could be seen And that never again will the ebb and flow Of natures biology dictate the recess of my mind Last edited by Coup; 01-20-2020 at 04:38 AM. |

Dear Dr. Seuss
Dear Dr. Seuss,
I slit my wrist today to sip up the poison It's my choice with veins this noisy again In there, a choir of voices all sung in tune Their faces were bloody, drawn as color cartoons My better judgment laid back despite my absence Whatever I say, blame it on my stab wounds since I'm sick but healthy, somewhat odd and deranged That's why I write you, never mind the bloody stains Anyhow, what's up man ? I read Go Dog GO today A masterpiece work, full throttle all the away Took awhile but I finished it easy enough It shook me up, but not like that Grinch stuff And what's with the Grinch anyhow ? Pure evil Essentially it alludes toward a sappy people And I can't miss the changes that occupy his mind Too sloppy and stressful against Christmas chimes My ears bleed out to bells storming as missiles Because Horton Hears A Who and sea shells whistle ? Why Dr. Seuss, why ? I get you but hot damn We need to talk soon to correct this jelly jam Anyhow, I've been cleaning out my library Burning all your books that I hide and carry Making room for my own looks, in the new style I became book sick reading you after awhile You don't know me Seuss like that, in fact Don't confuse me with some random stray kats I sew needles to my eyes and recite inner rhymes Finding time to study between your beginner lines Green Eggs be dammed if Sam I am is that picky Wishing that Ham came on demand but more quickly I find meaning where kids only rewind with laughter Your books sway and last in my mind after each chapter Shakespeare shit Romeo and you spit Go Dog Go So I pencil out Juliet and give us the cameo Damn dude! I just noticed something horribly Seuss I am not joking, I'm notably wearing a noose The child in my mind has just spit up his food In an instant too, brain now cold and chewed Blood boiling, spilling over digested soup It' sick Seuss, skull cap pushing out poop My eyes roll around, flickering outside-in Eew! Illustrating in one sickening skeleton These pupils, so crossed by blood shot veins Cool story bro ? That's why I wear these shades I'm over slammed with Green Eggs and Ham I liked them, but understand I cannot be Sam So get fuct Dr. Seuss with your Cat in the Hat Your Words cluck sir; ABCs musing as acrobats You say one fish, two fish, red fish on a round dish I say finish a complete sentence not somehow childish But you can't, you wrote to our National Pastime When Coke was new and kids held dimes in lunch lines You do have talent; astonishing when candle lit Dim, I lend it to the paper in which I shit And a million pens ink over spots yet printed Yet you leak blotches on paper and still get minted But you're now prey and I remain the predator Yesterday was your day, today I mail this letter Hit me back bro, we got to coloab soon If not I promise to stab and go mad with doom Sincerely, Coup Last edited by Coup; 01-20-2020 at 04:39 AM. |

Fly Paper
Meet in the middle of the air, seek me out in clouds
I ladder your vocal stairs and believe in miracles now Speak to me in a color never broken with language See if we read together, climbing over spoken pages Tell me to lift higher to touch your metallic voice Let it rivet gold in me, bust up this dynamic noise Give a reason, and I will. Give me your dirty secrets Lie too, I'll believe it...soon we will fly in acid reflex I'm standing tall now, in defiance of my human sense Rising while you search me out, in skies of turbulence Drink from my lips and decide what feather its of Fill your soul, let some spill. Your doing down now Spit some out in colorful trill, your going down now Meet in the middle of the air, seek me out in doubt Ladder my vocal stares, couldn't be miracles without Color me black again, and I will seek you later Going down now, and I'll make you feel real bad |

Golden Pendulum
The golden pendulum swung. In my ear drum. Dunn Dun Dun Dunn. Ugh, I hear dumb. Got my mind, um, up motion slumps. So odd how locomotion adrenalin comes. Gentlemen I'm trembling. Ibuprofen then ? Numbs my whole endorphins some. In ocean of neurons swimming fuct. Now time is frozen. Oh look; there goes a bottle-nosed dolphin, sunk. Pumped full of bone-marrow lead. Meddling. Peddling. E.T. phone home. When ? I begging. Unsettling on the bottom of an insomniac bed. A maniac, I Drive my inner man to the Adirondacks with a picnic basket. Contemplate dinner and put lipstick on this chick who's plastic. Close my eyes and gallop back when the pendulum swung. An acid Dunn Dun Dun Dunn. I can't feel my tongue. It's the golden pendulum kettledrum and I'm not welcomed in.

Face Like the Sun
Going back. At last.
So you dig. Dig for justification. Dig for validation, understanding. Digging to fill new wholes With old dirt. Digging for truth. As fast as the shovel pivots As fast as you can bear the exposure Of how things really happened Not how you interpret them now But rather, of a downward momentum Not just of the shovel, but of life's pull Though both are striking the same plate With an insatiable appetite to satisfy the urge To know the absolute dexterity of truth. You dig. You and shovel. Except the shovel is sure of itself It will spark as it clanks against time Conversely, you will collide and fold in Coil up as a double helix of what once was Wrapping around the past with a sure complexity And in the process a partnership is solidified A cooperation forging a link to the past Of steel networking its desire to function correctly You of your questioning, explanations and motivations As an organic body exercising it's right to inquire. You discover quickly that what you dug up Is easily arranged against what you thought and what is,... was, is really not once was But only an image of what you wanted it to be You pick up the past and uncoil this information You soon realize new uses of old trauma bases Realize rungs of dead end roads, of bad choices More insightful now than ever you point this up Into the sky and climb on the burden of your new way forward. With a face like the sun
