I wasn't meaning to go for a TL;DR post but apparently it happened. Be careful what you wish for etc...

Anyways. It's better to be where he's at than being completely anti-police even though he's presenting himself as slightly retarded imho. If there's one thing most people agree upon no matter how fucked up the views are for police it's that humans as a group need boundaries or chaos will appear as that freedom will be abused. That anarchy ''humans are nice''-shit is too naive imo as most of them use themselves and who they surround themselves with as a point of reference for why no authority figures or prison is needed not taking into account brain damage, emotional trauma and make them crazy from depression (that shit can come from a simple break up for some...) and sociopaths/psychopaths that are just wired that way that needs guidance. A certain type of security is needed to keep these people at bay and have people you can call within reach to deal with these things when they appear. Peer pressure alone don't fix this shit.

That said tho', I don't got an issue with the police, I got an issue with laws and certain people. Certain people should not have a position with serious authority over other human beings. And certain people should not walk out in public. I mean, just take a look at the Stanford Prison Experiment. There's a documentary here if you want to take a look:
(If you don't: In short it's a psychology experiment conducted by a psychologist where they role play inmates and security guards in a prison to see how people react. It was supposed to last for 7-14 days but had to be cut short after only 6 days as the prison guards got more and more violent, inmates got more and more submissive and started planning a riot and even the psychologist himself which had the role of being a superintendent took his role too seriously as well. The whole thing played out extremely bad and have been connected with the Abu Ghraib prison installment to try to understand why the guards did what they did.)



At a larger scale I personally believe you can put this to authority figures and civilians in society and this is where the whole police/prison thing gets complicated. The only way to level police with everyday citizens is to encourage conversations with the public, help that old lady get her cat down from the tree, hug people that needs it and generally being helpful (unless there's something more serious happening that needs attention straight away). You can see hints of that morality fade a little bit when cops are speeding on the highway or taking parking spots they shouldn't take when a situation doesn't even call for it etc. and generally talking to people with a certain voice that makes them almost robot-like to distance themselves ''from the rest''.
The issues come into play when cops lose sight of that which has happened too many times and it creates an ''us vs. them'' mentality on both ends which isn't healthy at all and demands debates and an outcry when it goes down. (Killing/beating of people that haven't done anything, shooting of innocents in the US etc., riots and activism against the gov+++.)

I also personally believe the ideology of a prison is outdated (the only thing I can agree with anarchists with btw) and needs serious reform to resemble more like institutions with the possibility of locking people up where people (not inmates) get help to deal with their issues along with necessary follow ups after their ''sentence'' is served. Isolation and being locked in a cell alone is not the key and doesn't help for shit. More likely than not they're more frustrated and confused about what the fuck to do when they finally get out. Human beings as a specie is not wired to live in confined spaces over time, so yeah, I do believe there's a lot of improvements that can be made. And NO, everyone that has done tax frauds, done drugs and whatnot do not NEED to be placed inside. With the growing problem of space to put them in I believe we can get more creative in ways they can be productive to society instead. Inmates the way they are now is only taking its toll on society.

So when it comes to ''FUCK THE POLICE'' and ''I'M ALL FOR AN POLICE STATE'' you'll find me in the middle wanting to allow people and human nature to be just that but with certain rules and regulations, and a new set of ground rules that should work for as many people as possible in a way that not only makes inmates productive to society but makes them ready for normal life after their sentence is through as well.
