I don't know. I would just at some point be like oh I'm dreaming
I don't know what gives one that realization I will say that as soon as you know it's a dream you are at a race to do what you want before you wake up |

Start a dream journal, that's probably the most important part.
Every morning, as soon as you wake up, write in your journal about what dream you just had. It helps with familiarity. Also, throughout the day, if something happens that is out of the norm, then ask yourself if your dreaming, even pinch yourself. The idea is that you'll start doing this in your dreams. As you're in bed, recite to yourself in your head, tonight I will lucid dream. And your more prone to lucid dream when taking a midday nap, or if you wake up in the middle of deep sleep, stay up for about thirty minutes, and then go back to bed

I have lucid dreams 80% of the time. There are tricks to it. The first is realizing you're dreaming, when things aren't ordinary. The next trick is learning how to will which direction to look, instead of using your physical eyes which will certainly wake you up. There's much to it, but that's the basic two rules you need to follow in order to dream and not wake yourself.

Another good way to have CRAZY LUCID dreams, is to put on a nicotine patch before bed. You'll be trapped in levels and levels of lucid dreams before you wake up.
Last time I did that (on the submarine) it took me about 30 minutes to realize I was actually awake. Real talk, it's crazy yo.

Like I know how old you are? You asked a question, and I gave my answers. Take it easy.

I did a lot when I was younger. Just do a lot of checks. You can't feel pain in your dreams, so pinch yourself consistently when you're awake to verify that you're not dreaming, and you'll find yourself doing it in your dreams as well. Once you're able to determine you're actually dreaming, it's easy to do
I stopped doing it because they seemed a lot more vivid than regular dreams, and I didn't always have as much control over my dreams as I wanted to. I used to force myself awake from time to time, which was great until one time I was lucid dreaming, tried to force myself awake - and then actually *dreamed* that I woke up. That was followed by one of the worst nightmares I ever had, and it seemed far more realistic because I had already re-assured myself that I was awake Last edited by Answer; 10-17-2013 at 09:45 PM. |
