I used to be . Playing with words is fun ( using wp as an example ) .. but when it comes down to writing fir someone that’s not a direction I can see myself going in any further

It’s gotten to the point where I recognize the wit in a line.. but it no longer resonates because it’s some cliche “ I fucked your gf “ concept or something of the like ..or it seemingly comes out of nowhere n doesn’t contribute to the “progression” or flow of the verse .

Hard to explain but it’s definitely something I’ve noticed as I’ve gotten older

Hell... I look at really old verses of mine n it’s a yikesfest regardless if the reception Is glowing or not . Maturing I guess

Starting to trend to the conversational

Wouldn’t say “starting “ but that’s the most natural & effortless way I can get bars out . Noticed that when I was last here as well
