I'll tell you what pisses me off. He WAS a tortured soul. Was struggling off and on with depression and alcoholism. Then when he dies, all of these bitch ass celebrities get on social media with their false sympathy and bullshit condolences paying tribute to his success as an actor and being an upstanding human being. None of those fucking well-wishers gave a shit while he was alive. His Hollywood star appeal was in decline and it wasn't just bc of the demons he was combating everyday of his life. He wasn't getting work in Hollywood as much as he used to bc nobody gave a shit ab him or his problems. When the opportunity came up to do a random family flick that needed somebody who had moderate starpower in that genre they would go with him after their initial choices declined the role. Hollywood watched Robin Williams die and when he did they fucking capitalized on it. Look at his show Crazy Ones..instead of riding it out and sticking with it, they dropped that shit in a heartbeat bc it was always ab status and appeal. Low-ratings, aging comedian with personal issues. Hollywood says fuck u then does the obligatory walk of fame star tribute.

Hollywood is a business. People are people. Hollywood gives roles to actors who can further their project. People pay respects to a friend. I have a cousin I haven't spoken to in years, who if he died, I'd probably go to his funeral and have my own personal tribute to, and that doesn't mean I don't give a shit about him.

You're trying too hard to be the devil's advocate. What were they supposed to do? Give him roles because he's old and depressed? Come to his house for an intervention?
