And from where, granted, I did use some shit I had saved on my computer from a while ago, and heavily edited it, but as far as I remember its never been posted online, which I thought was ok. As for an explanation, I've got interviews all week and home repairs to do so I wasn't going to have time to come up with anything near good enough to match pancake, I'll gladly write something new if the DQ is avoidable.

I would never try to pass something off I had posted on another forum. I honestly didn't remember having put that on ughh... For real though, good find (i'm assuming outzyda remembered it? Which I take as a compliment being over 2.5 years ago), I had forgotten I ever even posted on that site, and it being an open Mic format regardless, I was under the impression that type of recycling was allowed as it wasn't a battle

When I asked if it was this week was because I have a shit ton of snippets and rhyme schemes catalogued in my brain as well my computer, a couple times I've pulled a line or a set of rhymes and made them to fit the topic and I've probably posted a few of the quips on my facebook, as for whole pieces, never, but this chunk

For what it's worth, I was the one who caught you, and I did it the same way I found Innovator and Dagel recycling. The Internet remembers everything. Even many things that have been deleted are cataloged by Google's ***he. Write new things. That's the rule and the purpose of topics.

Ha, I don't even do anything close to that. I search verses that seem a little too loosely related to a topic. And if I don't hit on the first search term (I look for unique phrases), I stop. So in this case, it actually was about 50-50 that I was going to land on that old verse, since it was only half-recycled.

But, yeah, I've never recycled in 150-200 topical battles, and I feel like those who do it are cheating everyone. It's one of the things that really put me off on battling.

I have twice I believe, many years ago

But there was a rule that you were allowed to only recycle shhit that was no showed against you if that makes sense

Other than that, the only other time was I had the same concept in a verse I used somethhing like 10+ years ago. Not one reused line tho.

I agree with you, but I sometimes wish I could recycle while in a time crunch, but even then don't have the heart to. I can keystyle a novel in 10 minutes that rhymes, might not be good, but would get a win here and there.
