They dropped in 88.. and they've sat deadstock for 25 years they will definitely crumble. sitting DS for too long will make any shoe crumble. Shoes from the early 2000s can crack/crumble if they haven't been at least lightly worn, semi regularly.

It's a dope collection piece/display pair, but I wouldn't put my feet in it. If it's shrink wrapped, I wouldn't even unwrap it tbh.

You could cop a pair tomorrow, and have it sole swapped though.

There was 88s with dark grey elephant print and Nike Air on the heel

First time they retro'ed it was 2007 with black elephant and jumpman on the back

This is the 2nd retro and it's basically identical to the 2007

if it's the 07, the sole shouldn't crumble, but the paint on the midsole might crack.. but from what I hear, most the 3s released in the past couple years start getting cracks in the paint after a handful of wears anyway :(

I dont usually fuck with 3's, only got these from 2007 DS and DTRT VNDS. mainly fck with 4's

some jays look dope beat.. they've been retired though.
