read all verses- and i give every single one of you massive props. i'm perpetually impressed by the talent here in the awol. some hard decisions i couldnt make in time.

Handicapped matches too, where someone with a good record has to beat two people with bad records lol
can get kinda crazy though.

On voting, a good method that has worked for me in the past, especially when suffering from a time crunch, is two identify two positives of the verse and something to work on constructively for their next verse. This way I'm giving supportive feedback to encourage good writing traits as well as goals for next week's verse. I don't normally quote but I've decided to add that element to some of my voting just to be more supportive as folks have done that for my battles so I feel like trying to give back a bit. Always giving plenty of opinion and ultimately the vote goes to what I feel imo is the best written, most engaging piece. I feel much like Patrown, in that over analysis may lead to cloudy judgement, when usually your gut draw is the best route to take for most battles.

this comes from many years of judging topicals and battle verses in leagues at RM and some at Netcees.

can't wait for the Mag and the next matchups! Sad to see Vulgar, King Keith, and Fenix signing out though :( Sure they will be back with that fire though!

I laughed at Knuck lol. The AOWL really is a fucking forum inside of a forum. Theres more posts here in a day than the entire discussion I'd be willing to bet forreal

that's how ria was, sv the topical league was the most active part of the site. @rhetorical predicted once sv went inactive, the site would die off. his prediction is coming true.

It really does remind me of HF and IHH. But I didn't do topicals then I was a shitty text battler and I mean SHITTY text battler lol. But I think this site has momentum behind it and it can keep it up if we keep droppin and Split and King Keith keep being pimp ass mods. That's right Split and King Keith you're pimp ass mods. I'm not sure what it means but I think thats what the kids are saying these days.
