No, you're being obtuse. The playbook is not the issue here. Hell, the Vikings have such a small number of plays as it is compared to other teams (Tirico and Gruden went on and on about it last night).

There are three reasons to miss a wide open receiver (besides getting sacked):

Timing was off
Ran the wrong route/was impeded
QB missed him completely

It was #3 all night last night.
