Are steroids like super bad or something? Are there people who can take them and manage it so it doesn't effect them too badly, or is everyone on steroids pretty much fucking with their own life?

I'm dumb about things like this...is it like a lot of drugs that it's ok in moderation, or just not ok at all?

they can be done with minimal long term side effects, but the general consensus is that they will shorten your lifespan somewhat due to the detrimental effects on your heart and cardiovascular system in general.

of course you may die from any number of other things, so to some, the reward outweighs the risk.

@Bruce Leroy - fair enough, I find it sad people are willing to risk their lives for outward appearances. But then again I smoke and that's super fucking dumb so I can't say shit, I find what I do pretty sad too.

I was off them for 9 months a couple of years ago but I drank a lot over christmas and I find it impossible to drink without smoking, so I got hooked again.

Yeah, they're addictive as fuck dude, it's like being in a bad relationship...you know it isn't good for you, but you just can't seem to let it go.
