Week 2 Predictions and Chat/Discussion

eh, im just not in the mood

@Split Eight to me a lot of ur stuff is kind d of abstract (out of that I've read, bc that's all I can speak toward) and abstract writing allows for more open interpretation

but I'm generalizing and speaking from opinion on only what I've came across
So I may be wrong

but I feel there is nothing wrong with abstract writing, but the writer needs to b aware that people may take things differently then intended bc of its nature

@zygote I knew nothing about the dogon either before I got the topic but I'm happy I received it. I did 3 hours of research over the span of a few days to get a feel for their culture and it was fascinating. Many of them have been converted to the Islam and tbe remaining followers have declared the religion would most likely be extinct by the end of the century.

I think thats the probelm. ..people are so afraid of others judgement that they conform
To a guideline of what is voted on. Id like to think my votes are unique to me.

I eventually read everyones' votes. I like to see how they dissect a work. I had to do it so much in AP Lit that now I can't not do it

I agree youre a good/ insightful voter, FAT

but people are so hooked on not conforming/ dickriding/ sheep voting that they spend way too much time policing it, which in a twist of irony makes them succumb to it

as in I dont think anyone here is "scared of judgement" or just regurgitates votes... but they DEFINITELY let ideas/ emotions/ opinions affect their votes in very noticeable ways

ways that are especailly easy to notice when u read everyones votes every week lol

Story I dont agree with ypu sir. I see nothing wrong with cakes voting.


We should come up a guideline to voting.
Something every one can agree on.


A compliment sandwich.

Start of with a positive of the verse....counter with some thing bad.

Then adhere to that bad and try to advice with ways to improve that bad.

Then you can input your personal opinion.

I think something like this is necessary.

Sometimes that takes one paragraph and 100 words. Other times that takes 20 paragraphs and 1,200 words.
