That type of stuff can be prevalent in poetry. It can work. It's often a matter of feel and the reason I always say you have to learn the rules and learn to work within the rules before you can break the rules. James Joyce didn't start with Ulysses or Finnegan's Wake. E.E. Cummings at one time used proper punctuation and capitalization.
