i think you're missing the sentiment?

i like fights where the fighters actively seek to finish the fight. i understand the skill involved with usman controlling that fight the way he did and imposing his will on masvidal. it was a clear 4-1 in my opinion. that doesn't make it entertaining though. his will wasn't to stop masvidal, but to not let masvidal stop him, and win on the cards.

If masvidal was more rounded as a fighter it wouldn’t have gone that way. Usman v Covington was entertaining as fuck. You can’t blame Usman for exploiting his opp’s weaknesses. The main was never gonna be the best fight on the card and there was plenty of good ones. You guys really expect every fight to be a straight up bar brawl?

everyone thought the fight was MEH. fighters, analysts etc. we all can agree the only list this fight makes is in the top selling of all time, it sold great cuz of masvidal and the hype around fight island during the ronies. it probably not even top 25 fights this year as far as entertainment value goes tho lol.
