clean left hand. then he got hit with the good old 1-2 repeatedly. until he eventually went down. where the beating continued, until he gave up, gave him his back and was choked. so... show me again where its never failed him? granted nates boxing is top tier in the MMA world. but that doesn't matter. plenty of people got through conors left to clinch and grapple with him. all khabib really has to do is do it once. that lefts speed/strength/precision is going to drop off DRASTICALLY after 1 round of khabib smothering him. he will blow all his energy trying to get that animal off him. and its over. it will be a 5 round embarrassment, unless conor looks for a way out early.

opened with a big left. got clinched. got grappled. got tapped. second fight. throws some combinations. left straight gets through. goes in for more combinations. gets taken down while grabbing the fence for dear life. instantly his opponent is in side control, passes his guard, and chokes the life from him. the nate loss of course i already mentioned. his left failed him against mayweather but again anyone with a brain saw that coming. most of us didn't think he would land it flush either, which he did. but yea, the ufc and conor hype machine is tremendous. he's a great fighter. but he's ducked this fight for a reason. conor fans can only hope he's spent the past couple years secretly training wrestling in the hopes it will be enough to combat khabibs lifetime of it. but again, i don't COMPLETELY discount mcgregor. but he's the one fighting the uphill battle in this match.

He has 3 losses out of 24 matches man.
Ok, I see your point however - once again I will say it - Connor's left hand will keep Khabib from shooting. He's going to have to strategically bait him before shooting to prevent the quick counter left from coming at him. Khabib has ZERO STAND up game. So that's not even a debate here. Everyone who's fought Connor in the last 5 years or so has been a tough match for Connor statistically and he's WON ALL OF THEM by KO via LEFT HAND. I'm not even a fucking McGregor fan and hope he takes another L but don't see it happening man UNLESS IT GOES THE THE GROUND which IMO is Khabib's ONLY SHOT. And I don't think Connor is going to allow the match to go the the ground. |

I felt embarrassed for Connor during the press conference tbh.. Looked like a fucking douche, and it was apparent to me he was more concerned about slinging his whiskey then the outcome of the fight ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE, a stone cold fucking killer who looked so so so focused for the task at hand ... his head is in the fucking game, he's hungrier, he wants it so bad... never lost a round, style is a nightmare for anyone let alone CM Also is a legend but he's 30lbs lighter then Khabib.... Alvarez had the worst fucking strategy I've ever seen I truly believe Khabib is a whole other level of animal & it's been a while since I've seen a guy that laser focused @Amen I got $50 USD on Khabib if ur down for the action

Jose Aldo was also focused. Chad Mendez was focused. Eddie was a cocky faggot just like Connor just got smashed in a better fashion.
But he did come off ass a fucking douche in the press conference but that's him. It's marketing. It's building up hype in hopes it gets more PPV sales which in the end makes them more money as well. Who want's to see silence and politeness at a damn press conference. It's sports entertainment, man. And I don't gamble, sorry. Never have and never will, lol. |

conor has notched some truly impressive wins and is obviously a phenomenal talent with a sniper rifle for a left hand. aldo, alvarez, mendes and in retrospect the poirier and holloway batterings are ALL elite wins.
i give him credit for demanding the nate rematch at the same weight, even if he only eeked out a majority decision - he looked absolutely electric for two rounds. unequivocally. his second wind in the fourth round (the swing round which probably won him the fight) quells some of the doubts about his heart/cardio, too. khabib's best wins are over a pre-champ RDA (who was beginning his career resurgence) and edson barboza. MJ and iaquinta are decent but not terrific wins: MJ has a horrid ground game, and al (a good fighter) is still developing tbf. the rhetoric around him 'never losing a round' is a bit inflated because he did little of note when he fought tibau - he arguably lost - and i doubt anyone citing his immaculate record has seen his pre-ufc career. i haven't, either, so i'm not saying he has but it kinda doesn't mean a thing. pretty sure he has at least lost in sambo. everyone loses at some point. as an aside, kevin lee manhandled barboza much more impressively and aggressively than khabib, which takes some of the lustre off one of his better wins. if you're counting conor out you're kind of a blind idiot. obviously odds are conor sleeps him or doesn't and gets grapplefucked. but guys have gotten up from under khabib before, and his huge cut may affect his cardio if he doesn't have his way. the mac is at times ethereal with his distancing, and khabib's entries on his takedown attempts have looked downright desperate at times. there is a gulf to cover in that open space before a tie-up, and you know conor has worked the way of intercepting fist for just a scenario. he also looked very proficient, at times, in the clinch against diaz in the rematch, while khabib doesn't really do anything in the clinch except look for a bodylock takedown. if conor can at all stall a takedown don't be surprised if he can work khabib in the clinch enough to sidestep and create distance once more. though this is kind of difficult when a man digs a grave picking at your legs and ankles. khabib's standup has looked somewhat improved and he throws decent linear strikes albeit he also has the habit of an overcommited leaping left (usually an uppercut) shown in older fights. that shit would get him knocked out. he pressures fairly well on the feet though, in large part because he has a good chin and the takedown is feared. mac is not run by fear, though. nothing is a foregone conclusion. to think otherwise is, frankly, stupid. i haven't really got a dog in this fight, i'd just like for the better man, or fighter, to win. tbf i'm leaning toward conor, his is the more aesthetic style. but i used to kickbox, if i was a jitz nerd i might love khabib instead. enjoy the spectacle for once instead of arguing bitterly for one side or the other. the vlogs haven't finished so idk why you posted them. tony/pettis and lewis/volkov are pretty intriguing bouts, too. Khabib's stand up is pretty good. I think he's going to suplex Conor for four rounds but Conor will time a spinning elbow or something and threaten to finish the Dagestani Eagle but in the end, I think Khabib wins a dominant decision. Fook

stfu, i hate when people who've never been hit talk about combat sports like they know....
Connor is explosive. U don't need to wrestle bears to hip bump. He will get back to his feet. ANNNNND every round they start standing. I get it. Chad Mendez cardio on 2 weeks notice is not Khabib. BUUUUUT if you think he's going to cruicifix connnor like he did to MJ, I just can't appreciate ur opinion. THESE ARE ELITE FIGHTERS. THIS WILL BE A HISTORIC FIGHT. Connor wins via tko 3rd round. Khabib doesn't really finish people. He very may get him down and maul him for a round or two....but he has to do it at the very least 5 times because obviously every round starts on the feet. Then in order to take him down he has to get in without getting hit. He also doesn't change it up from fight to fight. He shoots from far away everytime. That's a lot of film to study on how to time a knee or uppercut. I literally can see it going either way....but like I said the closer we get I can more and more see McTappy timing something off a take down attempt.

connor is going to be most dangerous directly out the gate. i honestly see it going like the barbosa fight, just connor being more dangerous in the closer distances. khabib was able to keep the pressure on barbosa to stay inside the danger zone of his kicks, but conor can crack him inside that danger zone with his hands like barbosa couldn't. its gonna come down to how much conor respects the takedown, because he might not let em fly like he normally would if khabib is pressuring him, but on the same side if khabib is pressuring him he could get aldo'd but word i still see this fight in khabib's favor big time. decidedly so as the fight goes on. even if mcgregor catches him coming in, if it doesn't flash ko him and he gets them filthy russian hands on conor it could be very very bad.

Only time Conor has been taken down really (in the ufc) was against Mendes and that was off a sloppy kick. He has better take down defense than people think. Granted Khbib is nasty with it, but if Conor stays circling and plays that run away from the fence game he did with Nate in the second fight he can stay away from him for I'd say a round and a half LOL. That could piss the eagle off and make him take a sloppy chance and shoot from way too far. It's a really hard fight to call because of how shitty Khabib's hands are. Also I don't like the Barbosa comparison because he's notoriously (no pun) known for not being able to fight going backwards (see the Ferguson fight and the michael johnson fight). That's not the case with Conor.
