I know what you mean and you're right.

I mean, how many ways can you structure a text verse? Not many... but my argument is this, to say I don't know enough about it is fuckin stupid, because YOU AND I BOTH KNOW, I been around the text game since '98 - 99 on and off... and have been battling just as long between competing and running sites/modding leagues, you know?

I also think it's bullshit, because rather then focusing on the execution of dissing your opponent, half these niggas are focused on THE EXECUTION OF A WORDPLAY THAT HALF THE TIME DOESN'T EVEN WORK BOTH WAYS!

so yea, I took offense to that comment when I shouldn't have because after all, this is the internet and I typically don't give a fuck about what niggas think or say but I take pride in what I do. And I definitely take pride in my votes. Regardless if I apply effort or not in a verse, It's still done with pride. And I'm sure you can agree or relate.

Example of a solid text battler, is Karaoke... He isn't w/ the word play bullshit for the most part, he's more of a personal but diss the shit out of your opponent and that's why he's pretty tough to beat. He doesn't dress up his bars with pretty little multis or word plays.

thats how everyone should write, IMO. But w/e, it's all a matter of personal preference, tbh... I just like that approach much better. And nik is an old school cat like myself and still write in that fashion but w/e...
