first off, flacco has NEVER CHOKED

secondly, if this is the second time i have no showed in a battle with pinot, this is the first time im hearing about it, i havent setup/been in any battles outside this league since the rhyme, and the alias tourney but i think i no showed that too lol

as for the dates, the main reason i no showed week 1, was because i didnt know it existed until the night verses were due.

the weekday deadlines are pretty brutal tho not gonna lie. i work 8-5 monday through friday with an actual job where i actually work, not sit around on a computer etc, and when i get home i get caught up on news, sports shit, music shit, video game shit, then beat off and pass out.

i tryed to key something friday night and just gave up

if i had weekend days to write, my no show percentage would easily be halved. right now im bored enough to open up this forum, which means im bored enough to write something, i never get this kind of time monday-friday

but i always have a tendency to no show leagues because they dont mean anything to me. its not a tourney so its nonsense. its like the nba prior to the playoffs. theres no need to watch any of the billion games. just let the teams that matter enter the playoffs and that be that. they shouldnt even televise the regular season.

also tie in the assigned topics and its a recipe for disaster for me

so like i said, ban me from this league. i want this subforum off my netcees experience. i dont even want to see any replies to this post

Verses Tuesday
Voting Friday

This gives weekend to write for people who are off, as well as I believe cut down on no shows a bit as I'm sure people are not showing because they have a social life and would rather do other shit Friday.

I feel the opposite... I write little by little throughout the week so the format works for me. I feel like I'd write less over the weekend cuz there's more shit that I need to do with my free time than on weeknights. I'd be willing to try if that's what the majority wants, but the Friday/Sunday thing has worked for ages, imo. No matter when the due date is, people are gonna no-show.

99 times out of 100 when people provide personal timetable-based excuses for no-shows and/or inability to participate at all in a league, it's basically inane justifications for sloth.

So I think switching around the dates will have marginal effects on the show/no-show ratio.

I think 99 times out of 100 is a stretch, but I see where you're coming from.

Although, I have no showed a lot and I can honestly say the majority of the time it has been something to do with not having the time.

I don't think it's too difficult to believe someone when they say they can't post on a certain day because of commitments, we all have things we have to do at certain times. I agree it is more than likely used as an excuse for laziness quite often, but to say basically any time someone uses their personal timetable as a reason for no showing it is an excuse for laziness is somewhat of a stretch for me.
