I just dislike Fisher. Rode coattails for championships. Flops. Announcers say he 'plays the game the right way' and 'does all the small things' when in reality he's a horrible player. Even at his peak he was at best below average. But he gets by because he was on great teams. Dude pisses me off.

At least Kidd is a hofer.

But maybe hell be a good coach. He knows the triangle.

That's a popular adage. What with the whole 'talented players get frustrated when their players can't do what they do' and etc.

Seems a bit too simple. Reductive. Too small of a sample size to say definitively. Definitely not enough to apply it concretely to fisher.

Often true, but there are enough counterpoints. Billy Cunningham, Larry Bird and K.C. Jones are Hall of Fame players. They also join Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich as the top five coaches by winning percentage in NBA history. Tommy Heinsohn, Jerry Sloan, Larry Costello and Bill Sharman all were very good players and great coaches.

Truth. Fisher may have been the worst starting point guard in the league at various points in his career.

Coaching takes time, though. I'm still confident in Kidd. We'll see in a few years.

He's an absolute horrid defender now. Teams target him whenever he's on the floor.
