Round 2 Magazine
Round 2 Magazine Intro 'Sup, y'all. This is Sn00p with the 2nd Magazine for the Ultimate Writer Tutoring Tourney. I just noticed today that I'd never ac- tually put up a Magazine for this round. That just totally slipped my mind. I'm sorry for that, though, so I figured I'd better still put up a Mag even though it's somewhat later for that. My bad. And since we're late anyways, let's get straight to the reviews. Reviews @Meth vs. @Camp Bell {Camp Bell wins by NS} Meth ended up noshowing. He's not really active on this site anymore, so that's not the biggest surprise, but it's still a pity, because he could've gone far in this. @SiK vs. @ZenLand {SiK wins by Forfeit} ZenLand said he didn't have the time to writer for both this and the Writers' League and even though you can't blame him for that, I would've still liked to see this go down. @Genocide vs. @King Keith {Genocide wins by NS} Judging only from the quality of the mags Keith is putting up in the Writers' League (which everyone should read, by the way), I think Keith could've put up a fight here to make this a good read. He ended up noshowing, however. @Witty vs. @Anonymous {Witty wins by NS} Anonymous is out of country, so I can see why he didn't drop for this, but it's still sad. Witty advanced by noshow. @Rayge vs. @Flo Real {Flo Real wins by NS} Rayge didn't show up. That's too bad, because he's one of the dudes I thought would profit most from this. Well, Flo Real ac- tually dropped a verse and thus went to the next round. @bleak vs. @Boredom {Boredom wins} Both showed they know the mechanics of a text verse, but the voters felt that both were playing it too safe, coming with only decent lines all through their drops. You two know what a good verse needs, but you need to go one step further. Make that concept evolve a little more. @namix actually wrote a nice paragraph about this in his tutoring group. And after the tourney's done with, I will publish the best of the tutoring threads so we all can learn from that. So you should make sure to check out the thread called "Conceptual Expansion". Anyways, Boredom was more consistent, because he attacked from more angles. Some people thought bleak had too many nameplays. Thus, most voters ended up giving it Boredom and he won. @Sharp Nine vs. @Jah Homie {Sharp Nine wins} Jah would've needed a bit more tutoring, it seems, because his verse wasn't too good. My impression is that he's used to a different style of texting. His verse seemed very horrorcore- esque. I know these styles from cats that come from different sites or from live battling. Maybe Jah needs some time to get used to this site's style. Sharp on the other hand showed he can drop quite well using said style. He had a lot of very solid lines that he delivered more than decently. He won convincingly with the verse of the week. @Utmost vs. @Malachi {Malachi wins} This was sort of an upset to me. It was definitely the closest battle of the round, too, and the votes showed that. I think that Utmost is similar to cats like C. Gaffle. They have a very unique style of texting that a few people really appreciate and some find very clumsy. Apparently, Ut had to rush his verse a little, so he might've been wanting to put too much in there and didn't take the time he would've needed to bring across his concepts in a way that really makes them hit. And Malachi capitalized on that. He came with simpler but much more direct and harder-hitting lines. In the end, more voters gave it to him because of that. And even though I don't necessarily disagree with that result, I think some of Ut's lines weren't appreciated enough. Definitely a good battle, though. ...which brings us to... Verse of the Week Sharp Nine vs. Jah Homie Jah's yt channel (found in his sig on otbva) http://www.youtube.com/user/DramaticalLimited Your youtube's shit, end of discussion People only think Jahvid Best after multiple concussions you fuckin vote for 2triple0? Previews Sharp Nine vs. Witty This should end up as a nice battle. Sharp already showed what he's capable of last round, and Witty has been around for some time, so he should know what he's doing. But then again, Sharp seems to be quite motivated and also actually battled last round. Maybe he got more from his tutors and actually put in more work to keep elevating at this fast pace. That's why I've got to pick him. It's gonna be a good battle. Genocide vs. Boredom This definitely has the potential to become the battle of the week. Both know what they're doing and have some bars. In the end, this could depend on the tutors a lot. Apart from that, it's pretty much 50-50 in my eyes. As of now, namix seems to have put in more work, so if Genocide can actually apply the advice, I see him winning this battle and advancing. Camp Bell vs. Flo Real Both won by noshow. Both also seem to be rather new. I have not actually checked how much their tutors have helped them, but I think it can matter a lot in this battle. Apart from that, Flo seems to be more all-around solid to me. That's why I have to predict him to win. Camp Bell could definitely prove me wrong. SiK vs. Malachi Malachi showed he can deliver some hits last week. But SiK is no pushover either. To be honest, I don't think that SiK'll show up. He seems to have disappeared from the site in general. So I got Malachi. I really hope I'm wrong though and SiK shows. It would definitely make for a good battle here. A Word from Sn00p aka Outro Even though we had quite some noshows in the 1st round, which demotivated me too, to be honest, I think that we can actually make this a nice tourney. Two battles are al- ready open for votes, and I'm positive that we can get a 75% show up rate at least this round. Those battles should motivate everyone (including me) again to come really good next week. Again, I want to apologize for having this Mag up super late. I just actually forgot about it. Well, the same will not happen next week. So please show up and please vote. And the show up part goes not only to the participants but also to the tutors: @namix @Cashius @God Of War @Hush @Orc @Allen Knight @ill nik-A @Bags. Plus, I wanna make sure that you guys know that we're very thankful for every little piece of advice. But if you feel that you just have no time or motivation to tutor anymore, hit me up and I'll try to find a replacement. I hope I won't have to, but this tourney depends on the tutors, so I'd rather look for replace- ments than not have any tutors at all. There will only be four battlers next week and I want to make sure that each one of them has a tutor to help him. So yeah, sorry again for this late and sub-par Mag. I will do better next week. 'Til then, Pz. 1. |

Thanks. But I wanted to do more with it originally. I just figured it'd make more sense to put that in next week's mag, given how late this is. So sorry for not having too much in this, I hope it'll still hold y'all over till next week.

Good mag, especially since there was so many no shows. @Snoop my bad for the no show, just haven't had the fire to write for battles or topicals for that matter. Keep up the good work, man.
