where I was born we see temperatures as low as -50 even lower w/ windchill and can get over a ft of snow in a night...

Montana colder than the antarctic right now with a windchill. Buses didn't have heaters. 34 inches with a -45 windchill. I would walk home from school on some days, and people get the day off on 7 inches....

See in the developed world, we have towns, or "cities" where people come in large amounts to live and work!

and when there is hazardous driving conditions, it makes transportation in heavily settled areas near impossible!

Last year schools stayed open at -40

Don't you guys have this problem every year? I remember I read some stuff last year about blizzards n stuff being crazy. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely lots of snow for places like that, but not having back-up plans in case stuff like this happens comes off as stupid to me. Get that snow plower shit organized etc. (on airports there's a few snow plowers in a diagonal line to get shit away from the runway asap, it happens but it's rare that they have to shut shit down), get some heaters in the buses and whatnot. Problem solved, and the states wont lose shitloads of money from not being able to do stuff or get to places.
