I'm about to be done smokin, my lungs are broken I got flows to bust, but, I'm just chokin The window of opportunity must've been pushed open 'cause the wind that'll rush in holds a good coldness Like dust bein blown on a whim homie, I'm only holding a thin bit of the momentum I've been flowing within Oh, it looks hopeless, an overgrown old kid livin back at home, again, with no motives I don't wanna hold roses over their graves no more than I want them to throw em the same I'm supposed to be the one to watch em go Not the other way around, but we'll see down the road 'Cause this, me shrouded in deep clouds and I'm tryin to reach out to the truth But I, keep drownin in youthful appearances ...My view is adhered to this aspect ratio of past tense spatial roles... These actions've taken their toll. So it happens in the aftermath of breakin the mold, my soul softens But I still can't shake these holds off yet I've waited for the crossroads to come to a close, often I've wasted the lost hope offered, I know, its awful But all told in the end, the fall folds with a bend It's a snap back to where I started, a backtrack through narrow margins The track snaps and peril harkens to the last chance I'll care to target If I can't have the miracle of an artist, then that's that I'll stare into the darkness of bad paths, heartless I dare you to ask how far down my depths go They're comparable to cracks found in the mariana's trench holes I've been sittin in this barely padded bench so long I can't stand another minute without something havin to go wrong No song lyrics can express what I've felt Yet they grow stronger every year, comin closer to myself It's a full on experience I pulled off delirious I won't fall, I'm serious, this old wall I'm here against Is built so tall that no low balled conspiracist could ever come near to this so called fearlessness ...I'm a lyricist at heart, I could sharpen a mirror image's shards with my artful appearances ...Once the darkness is seared in my vision its pure intuition tellin me here is the mission to enlist on... It's to figure out if god is real or if it is not, and if one does exist then the question is whether its the Christian's or Islam's the buddhist's or the jew's, the hindu's or wiccan's even sumerian's or egyptian's, which religion is the truth? Or maybe they're all wrong, call me crazy for small talk involvin a lost cause, but I thought I could solve it Indulge in the knowledge of false prophets who taught gossip and brought concepts of illogical subconscious nonsense to the populace. And now I'm here, the modern day nostradamus Livin in the post date of the predicted apocalypse Scripted in anonymous nomenclature, the ominous promises made were not met by the commentator So how can I nominate our next divine moderator? I don't wanna make earth a better place, I wanna make each person part of a common race... where we're all winners... turn the sinners into saints the beginners into aces, there's no inner way to fail this The glimmer on our face gets dimmer as the veil thins So rip down the curtains, let our souls shine on pale skin Show the audience all the worth that's in both sides with a stale grin But it takes a certain penchant to break the surface tension and work against the current waves we make the whole time creating this perfect lesson They're sure to second guess the situation, they deserve a statement that sorts out this bitter mess and makes sense, at least the best how I can make it sound, If I take it down even a notch, just think about the consequence, there's gotta be a way around it without the loss of this ...but probly not, honest, its awfully simple yet so complex, no one has ever got it all assembled and lived to tell the rest of us, just believe... Someone's gotta lift the spell, and I guess it was me |

Yeah, I think this piece works from both a thematic and technical view. I have too often seen the content drift off into obscurity when dealing with reflective texts like this, but your ability to keep it flow steady with catchy lines kept me reading it.
